Defne walked toward the table.
And suddenly, her steps froze.
On the table… there was a book.
A book Defne was absolutely sure she had never seen before.
Its cover was yellowed, its edges worn. As if it had been there for years… but Defne was certain:
"This wasn't here."
She looked around.
The library was still empty.
"Did someone come early?.." she wondered.
But she hadn't heard the door open.
She slowly approached the book.
Just as she was about to reach out her fingers, she hesitated.
There was a strange feeling inside her.
Curiosity… and a hint of fear.
