Chapter 81 - Chapter 81 The Second Layer

The Second Layer

The light within the core changed.

It was no longer merely spinning.

Now—

it felt deeper.

As if something hidden within it was slowly opening its eyes.

The golden vortex CHAPTER 81

The Second Layer.

Not chaotically.

Not violently.

Every movement felt deliberate.

Ordered.

Controlled.

Like a system finally awakening after centuries of dormancy.

The atmosphere inside the chamber shifted.

Heavier.

Yet strangely alive.

Sinta stared at the core.

"What is happening...?"

Farhan's fingers raced across his keyboard.

"The energy output is increasing."

He paused.

"But it's not becoming unstable."

Lila kept her eyes on the data.

"This isn't a surge."

A brief silence followed.

"It's a transition."

Her gaze narrowed.

"The second layer."

Golden patterns began appearing across the surface of the core.

Symbols.

Countless symbols.

They flowed and shifted continuously.

Like a language.

Yet not one meant to be read.

A language meant to be understood.

Kai's eyes narrowed.

"...I've seen this before."

Bimo immediately turned toward him.

"Where?"

Kai didn't look away from the core.

"Inside Dominion facilities."

A pause.

"But only fragments."

His voice lowered.

"Broken pieces."

"Incomplete copies."

Farhan slowly nodded.

"Because Dominion never created this energy."

His eyes remained fixed on the symbols.

"They only copied what they could find."

Lila stared at the glowing patterns.

"And this..."

Her voice dropped to a whisper.

"...is the original."

Silence filled the room.

Arga looked at the core.

"Then we've only seen the surface."

No one disagreed.

Suddenly—

WHOOOOOM—

A pulse of golden light expanded outward.

It wasn't violent.

It wasn't loud.

Yet everyone felt it.

Deep within their bones.

The box in Arga's hands burst with light.

The twelve rice grains began spinning in perfect harmony.

Then—

something changed.

A new spark appeared.

Small.

But unmistakable.

Bimo pointed immediately.

"Wait."

His eyes widened.

"Did it just add another one?"

Farhan froze.

"The energy levels just spiked—"

"No."

Lila cut him off.

"This isn't growth."

She stared at the readings.

"It's evolution."

Arga slowly opened the box.

Inside—

thirteen rice grains floated in a circle.

Not twelve.

Thirteen.

Each one glowing with a soft golden radiance.

The new grain wasn't brighter than the others.

It simply felt...

necessary.

As if it had always belonged there.

As if the set had never truly been complete without it.

Then the voice returned.

"Guardian..."

Arga's eyes closed.

And this time—

he wasn't merely seeing.

He was pulled inward.

The chamber vanished.

The mountain disappeared.

The world unfolded before him.

Vast.

Endless.

He saw towering mountain ranges.

Ancient forests.

Oceans stretching beyond the horizon.

Deserts bathed in sunlight.

And scattered across the planet—

countless points of golden light.

Hundreds.

Perhaps thousands.

Like stars embedded within the earth itself.

Then understanding struck him.

Arga's eyes snapped open.

His breathing was uneven.

"...It's not the only one."

Everyone turned toward him.

"What do you mean?" Sinta asked.

Arga pointed toward the glowing core.

"There are more."

Silence.

Then Farhan immediately activated the system.

A holographic map appeared above the console.

For a moment—

nothing happened.

Then—

one golden point appeared.

Another.

And another.

Then dozens more.

The map continued lighting up.

Farhan stared in disbelief.

"No way..."

Lila quickly scanned the data.

"Global resonance detected."

Her voice trembled.

"This isn't a single source."

She looked at the expanding map.

"It's a network."

Kai watched the glowing points spread across the world.

"They're connected."

Rani swallowed.

"If one awakens..."

Farhan finished the thought.

"The others might awaken too."

Bimo groaned.

"And Dominion definitely knows that already."

Nobody argued.

Because he was probably right.

Pak Rahmat stared at the ancient documents.

His expression had become unusually serious.

"This was never a research project."

Beside him, Bu Maya slowly nodded.

"It was the foundation of life."

Silence followed.

Heavy.

Real.

Unavoidable.

Sinta turned toward Arga.

"And you're connected to all of it."

Arga looked down at the box.

The thirteen rice grains pulsed softly.

Warm.

Comforting.

Yet carrying a weight he had never felt before.

"This isn't something meant to be owned."

He raised his head.

His eyes were steady.

Determined.

"It's meant to be protected."

Kai stepped beside him.

"Then we'll protect it together."

Bimo immediately raised a hand.

"The Nutritional Guardians."

Dika chuckled.

"Upgraded version."

"Way more serious."

A few people laughed.

Only briefly.

Because everyone understood.

The stakes had changed.

This was no longer about a single core.

No longer about a single mountain.

No longer even about Dominion.

The entire world had just become part of the story.

Far away—

inside a dark chamber—

a massive screen illuminated the darkness.

The same map floated above it.

Covered in golden points.

Far more than anyone had imagined.

The Dominion leader stood silently before it.

Watching.

Calculating.

Waiting.

Then—

he smiled.

Finally.

The man in the black hat stepped forward.

"More than one?"

The answer came calmly.

"A network."

The Dominion leader pointed toward a single point.

The brightest point on the entire map.

The mountain.

The core.

Arga.

"...And that boy."

His eyes narrowed.

"He's the key."

A pause.

"He's not an ordinary guardian."

The smile deepened.

"He's the trigger."

Silence filled the room.

Then he spoke again.

"Now..."

"...everything will awaken."

Deep beneath the mountains—

the core pulsed.

Stronger.

Deeper.

Farther.

Like the heartbeat of the world itself.

Arga stood before it.

No longer just a boy.

No longer just a guardian.

But a bridge.

A living connection between every sleeping core across the planet.

And without realizing it—

they hadn't awakened a single power.

They had awakened something that had been sleeping beneath the world for a very long time.

And this time—

not everything that awakened...

would stand on their side.
