Chapter 2 - A curse vanishes

*Sigh* [Of all the world, why I got myself reincarnated in demon slayer world.]

He recall the screams of his family when his father killed everyone.

[No, it doesn't matter, even if I have my past self's memory, it doesn't erase my current self.]

Few hours later...

Makoto buried his family nearby, before burying he used his ability to sense the blood of his dead family members and found everyone is full human. He understand his mother but his siblings were all related to Muzan by blood, yet they are all human except makoto who seems to have become a half human and half demon, and he possess same blood demon art as his father.

Makoto looked at his mothers's and sibling's grave and made a vow.

It is bad that our family meet a tragic end, we had no idea that we are fake family of a monster. But don't worry, I will make sure father... no, Muzan will pay for what he has done to us, and I will kill him. Please, my dear family rest in peace and give me your blessing.

After promising his family, he went inside the empty house and decide to practice his blood demon art.

Ubuyashiki mansion

While Makoto is busy mastering his powers. A strange thing happened in Ubuyashiki clan. The bloodline was cursed due to them producing first demon, Muzan Kibutsuji who is actually a part of Ubuyashiki bloodline. The clan faced divine punishment, leading to the clan being cursed. The males of Ubuyashiki family are born with they were cursed with weak bodies, characterized by a burn-like skin condition. The curse, which causes intense illness, is only lifted upon Muzan's defeat, atleast that's how curse was supposed to disappear.

But one day, after Muzan killed his current fake family and killed the hashiras following him. The curse that was placed on Ubuyashiki clan mysteriously disappears. Kagaya himself is shocked to see his burn mark gone. He summoned the priest and ask about sudden disappearance of curse despite Muzan being still alive. The priest read the stars and found something unexpected.

{Excited} Wonderful! Who could have imagined that a bright light is born from darkness that cause heaven to have mercy on Ubuyashiki clan.

{Smiled} I don't know what's going on, but did something good happened?

Good happened? It's more than good happened, from the stain on Ubuyashiki bloodline a symbol of hope is born. The curse didn't disappear, but it become inactive after "that boy" was awakened.

{Become curious} And who is that boy?

Demon king's own son, a boy named Makoto Kibutsuji, the only one amongst Muzan's children to awake his demonic power. However, this boy is antithesis to his own father. Muzan is an evil tyrant while his own son, a half-demon, is a savior, and one of the people that is a threat to demon king.

{Pleased and curious} It seems that heaven decided to bless us by making the curse inactive, as the result of our family not only producing a villain both also producing a hero.

A hero indeed, besides if my prediction is correct, you must find this boy as soon as possible. Having him on your side is not mandatory to defeat demon king, but it will make your and demon slayer corps battle against demons and their ruler easier.

Don't worry, I will find this boy, if he is exactly what you say he is, then this boy Makoto will be the one of the corps' greatest ally.

Makoto's home

*Sneeze* [Is someone talking about me?]

Makoto spent his time mastering his techniques, which is same as Muzan's, though he suspect that he has better understanding of this power than his father. Makoto also found while he can walk under sunlight he is not truly immune to sun.

True, the sun pose no harm to him, but this could be a perk from his human half. Under the effect of sun, he is reduced to an ordinary human, he lose his ability to use blood demon arts, his physiology become that of human rather than demon and his fast regeneration won't work.

Only after moving away from sunlight or in night, he can regain his blood demon art and can use it, his demonic physiology is that of Muzan's level, and he regenerate very fast.

Meaning he is effectively human under sun but a high ranking demon in absence of it. He wonder if he should search for blue spider lily as he can survive the sun, and might able to harvest the flowers to gain ability to use blood demon arts as well as have demonic physiology along with fast regeneration during day as well. But choose to not find it as demon only attack in night and in places without sunlight, so, there is no need for him to consume an elixir made from blue spider lily to complete his demonic power.

Makoto also found that he don't need human blood and flesh to survive, he can eat normal food eaten by humans, except his appetite is increased, escpecially his craving towards meat or anything delicious. Makoto decide to keep his craving under control, he don't want to finish all food of restaurents that might prevent other from eating anything or end up finishing all the food in house of any person whom he visit in future, that might make them to endure hunger or desperatedly finding any open market to buy ingredients for food.

Makoto invented a new ability, he can use his blood demon art to modify any item, he took a knife and used his biokinesis on it, turning it into a golden coloured dagger that is unbreakable and incredibly sharp.

[It's really sharp, I will use it to defend myself, I could have a sword, katana specifically, but swordmanship is not my thing. If I somehow managed to find a firearm, any firearm, it doesn't have to be modern, I can turn it into a powerful weapon that can help me fight demons, without me needing a sword or learning breathing style.]

Makoto with his gaze on knife wondered.

[I wonder, where I could find a firearm, even though this is last year of meiji era, a firearm cannot be found that easily.]

Thus, makoto begin deep thinking about how get a firearm.
