Long ago, in the ancient city of Mathura, there lived a cruel king named Kansa.
One day, a prophecy was made—
"Kansa, your death will come from the eighth child of your sister Devaki."
Hearing this, Kansa became terrified.
He immediately imprisoned his sister Devaki and her husband Vasudeva in a dark prison.
One by one, as Devaki gave birth, Kansa killed each child.
Time passed…
When the eighth child was about to be born, something magical happened.
The prison filled with divine light.
At midnight, during a stormy night—
Krishna was born.
But he was no ordinary child.
He appeared in a divine form, glowing with peace and power.
A voice echoed—
"Take this child to Gokul. He must be protected."
Suddenly, the prison doors opened on their own.
The guards fell asleep.
Chains broke.
It was a miracle.
Vasudeva took baby Krishna in a basket and stepped out into the storm.
He crossed the dangerous Yamuna River.
The river rose high, but as Krishna's feet touched the water—
It calmed down.
Even the serpent Sheshnag appeared and protected them from the rain.
Finally, Vasudeva reached Gokul.
There, he exchanged Krishna with a baby girl born to Yashoda and Nanda.
He returned to the prison.
When Kansa tried to kill the baby girl—
She transformed into a goddess and said—
"The one who will destroy you is already safe."
Kansa was shocked.
And thus began the journey of Krishna—
The protector, the guide, and the divine hero.
