Chapter 58 - Chapter-57 : The Monster Horde

Noorwood High shuddered like a living beast. Shadows multiplied, writhing into grotesque forms. Tentacled shadows slithered across floors, skeletal monsters crawled along ceilings, and giant, clawed beasts emerged from the walls.

Sarah clutched the cube tightly. "This is it! The school is throwing everything at us!"

Jonah flared his glow. "Energy flows are chaotic—every monster is responding to the creature's commands. We have to prioritize traps!"

Mira hovered beside him. "We can amplify and redirect rogue energy, but we must divide the monsters carefully."

Lara spun in her chair, wildly pointing at every direction. "Step one: heroic chaos! Step two: comedic screaming! Step three: snacks… maybe never!"

Leo swung ropes at skeletal beasts, pulling them into temporary containment zones. "Step four: rope heroics! Step five: optional explosions!"

Jade analyzed the monsters' movement. "The tentacled shadows are weak to energy pulses! Funnel them, otherwise the clawed ones will overwhelm us!"

Felix muttered, "Step six: sanity… optional. I'm too busy surviving monster chaos!"

The horde advanced. Shadows collided with energy barriers. Tentacles lashed wildly, knocking furniture, while skeletal beasts skittered toward the team. Jonah flared, Mira synchronized, and Lara's chaotic spinning accidentally triggered hidden trap panels.

Lara POV: I AM HEROIC! I AM CHAOS! The monsters fear me… maybe… no, probably not, but I'm fabulous!

Sarah yelled, "Team, coordinate! Trap the tentacled shadows, isolate the clawed monsters, and redirect skeletal beasts into barriers!"

The team moved in perfect chaotic synchronization. Leo swung ropes, Jade calculated precise redirection paths, Felix flailed strategically, Jonah guided flows, and Mira amplified energy. Even the accidental chaos from Lara pushed monsters into traps.

The gym shook violently. Shadows twisted, clawed monsters roared, and skeletal beasts crashed into barricades. But the team held.

Sarah held the cube high. "We can survive this… but we must find the creature's central source!"

Suddenly, the ground cracked, and a massive shadow serpent, the creature's ultimate minion, emerged. Its eyes glowed red, fangs dripping with shadow energy.

Jonah whispered, "That… is the central source's guardian. If it reaches us, all is lost!"
