That very day, without wasting a moment, Sean immediately divorced Moana.
Moana seemed unable to accept that reality, but she didn't cry out loud. She didn't scream. She just sat there frozen, as if her body was still there, but her soul had already slipped away.
Sean slowly closed his laptop. That little "click" sounded far more cruel than a shout.
"Take her away," he said curtly to his men.
"Where to?" one of them asked.
Sean glanced at Moana briefly. Cold. Empty.
"Just far away from my life."
That was all.
No prison. No special escort. No protection.
Moana was truly cast aside.
That woman neither fought back nor begged. She seemed resigned to her fate. Because she knew that no matter how hard she fought against Sean, she wouldn't get what she wanted. Sean wouldn't forgive her.
But her inner voice told her otherwise. Something inside her told her that Moana shouldn't just give up like that.
