"Is this Sector Two? It doesn't look like anything special."
Ratso poked half his head out of the tunnel and looked around, feeling that it was a bit dim overhead.
Looking up, he met a pair of sharp yet indifferent eyes. How to describe this look? It was as if he wasn't looking at a person, but a piece of pork.
Levi ignored them and began explaining on his own, "As long as you can reach Sector Two by your own ability, you can participate in Sector Two's martial arts tournament. The winner can make a wish; anything can be granted except a sentence reduction."
"Man, that sounds like a total scam." Finn also popped his head out, resting one hand on Ratso's shoulder and waving the other playfully. "What if I want to be the warden?"
Levi pointed at himself, replying in the same emotionless voice, "Not the warden, but for the winner, I can give up my position as sector administrator."
Finn froze, turning to look at Ratso, who began recounting like he knew it by heart, "Sector administrators have authority second only to the warden in their respective sectors. Like that big guy who beat us up earlier, he's the administrator of Sector One."
Valmont, currently possessed by Shendu, immediately signaled Hak Fu to step forward. If they could get administrator privileges, this Stone Ocean would be an amusement park for them.
Finding Xiao Fung's Netherworld portal would be a piece of cake then, wouldn't it?
"I have two questions. First, will the administrator participate in the fights? Second, what is the price to enter the tournament?"
There was no such thing as a free lunch. For the prisoners of Stone Ocean, this was a chance to change their fate. Shendu didn't believe such a competition would have no entry conditions.
"The administrator won't participate. I will only fight to the death to defend my position if it is challenged."
Levi crossed his arms, the enchanted dual blades forged from black-gold bamboo swaying gently at his waist. "As for the price, naturally there is one. To participate in the tournament, you must first put up a wager. If you want to fight, hand over that box."
He was obviously referring to the Pan'ku Box. Ratso subconsciously hid the box behind his back, but then heard Shendu say, "Give him the box. Hah, this is getting interesting. I smell the scent of sin here."
Shendu had clearly recognized Levi. Making a logical guess based on the current situation, he assumed Levi was also a prisoner here who had only secured the Sector Two administrator position by winning the tournament.
He had already checked out the tournament participants—they were all a bunch of useless bums. The only ones who posed a slight threat were those who had obtained the purple brooches in Sector One.
But even they couldn't possibly be a match for Hak Fu.
The tournament selections started from the top eight. There were eight arenas, each with its own defender. One had to win five consecutive matches on an arena to secure a spot in the top eight.
As Hak Fu began his arena battles, Zenith toyed with the Pan'ku Box in his hands, a playful look on his face. "See? Didn't they just willingly hand the box over to me? Snatching it by force might have alerted the demons, and what if we couldn't trick them into coming out when opening the door?"
The top eight? Who cares. Zenith had no interest in watching a bunch of noobs peck at each other, unless Hak Fu could perform 'Tornado Destroys Trailer Park' for him right now.
"Let's go, let's go. We're off to mess with Xiao Fung."
Among the seven demons besides Shendu, Xiao Fung was considered the one with the most brains. He knew to mimic a human form upon his debut, and understood the principle that the tallest tree catches the most wind.
Unfortunately, no amount of caution mattered, because their IQs had been severely degraded by the endless torment of the Netherworld.
All the demons knew that once Uncle's Chi magic was complete, it could instantly kill them within range. But these demons just refused to run; they insisted on fighting head-on.
The Wind Demon naturally possessed the ability to control storms. To prevent them from disturbing Shendu, who was having a blast on the other side, Zenith placed a ring of bedrock around the portal.
After his personal Minecraft experience level reached a certain point, Zenith gained the ability to dismantle bedrock blocks using the modded Ox Talisman.
These blocks, acting like world barriers, could block all aura detection and would absolutely never be easily destroyed by mortal power.
The 'mortals' here included so-called racial gods and conceptual gods. Unless it was a creation-level big shot, even if a so-called Chief God or Supreme God came, breaking it would by no means be an overnight task.
With everything ready, Zenith walked into the area where the Netherworld portal was located, holding the Pan'ku Box. The box floated out of thin air and, enveloped in green good Chi, slotted itself right into the corresponding keyhole.
The Wind Demon, Xiao Fung, made his debut!
The moment he stepped out, this creature that looked like a pale green toad realized something was wrong.
Where was Shendu? Where were the gifts? Where was his grand entrance as a demon?
There was a grand entrance, of course, and an absolutely shocking one at that. Was being personally entertained by the dignified God of Blocks not grand enough?
Thus, under Zenith's 'friendly communication', Xiao Fung experienced the darkest moment of his demonic life. After merely enduring for two hours, he tearfully begged Uncle to send him back to the Netherworld.
That was way too hardcore. Was this really something a carbon-based lifeform could come up with?
Uncle's gaze toward Zenith grew a bit complicated. Thank goodness Zenith was on the side of humanity. If there were a demon like Zenith, who knows what the world would turn into.
"How's Shendu's group doing in the fights?" Zenith asked, dusting off his hands while removing the surrounding bedrock.
Jackie Chan raised his hand to speak. He had slipped out earlier, unable to handle the massive visual shock, and happened to see the tournament results. "A teenager named Stark said he was too bored waiting and went over to stretch his legs. He stopped Hak Fu at the semi-finals—kids these days are really something else. I don't even know how he trained to get those skills."
On the other side, Shendu felt like his entire dragon existence had turned bleak. Seriously, where did this red-haired brat come from?
"Stark beat the crap out of Hak Fu."
"Seeing as all three of us are redheads, I really wish he could teach us a few moves."
Seeing Shendu's increasingly grim expression, Finn and Ratso shut their mouths. "Boss, what do we do now? Not only are we trapped in prison, but we also lost the Pan'ku Box."
This was the definition of a double loss. Shendu paced back and forth, finally deciding to secretly take control of the Sector Two administrator first.
Since Hak Fu got beaten to a pulp and lost his tournament qualifications, they should now be on the same side as the administrator. The winner would threaten the administrator's position, making them natural allies.
Levi thought they were being completely ridiculous. There were only a handful of people in the entire prison not wearing inmate or guard uniforms. Anyone with half a brain would realize they were all in on it together.
The mentally broken Shendu tried to use a magic spell to leave with Finn and the others, but the entire prison seemed to have its space anchored in advance by some kind of magic, rendering his spell useless.
He had escaped the giant cage of the Netherworld, only to end up in the smaller cage of this prison. Watching the ongoing martial arts tournament, Shendu secretly swore, *'I will definitely gain my freedom from this Stone Ocean!'*
