Chapter 1: an ant before a behemoth

The soldiers opened fire against the creature, fighter jets and helicopters fired continuously, smoked filled everywhere, as bullets got exhausted, they stopped firing to reload.

Within few minutes, the smoke started clearing, the creature stormed forward to enter the city; the soldiers all looked terrified as they raised their face toward the sky. They sighted a huge figure that they were shooting at, this time they could see it cleared, all their shooting were like tickling on the body of the monster, it was as huge as a dragon dinosaur, a living behemoth. It was a beast king. The worst night mare no one should ever pray to see in his life

the beast was as tall as a skyscraper, just with its size it can turn the city to dust, it has to be stopped.
The beast king roared and other smaller beast following it from behind started charging toward the city from the sea, the roars sent a chill on everyone's body, the ground began to shake, some soldiers were thrown off balance from their formation position .
"fire" the giant mutated turtle came out of the sea, rolling itself like a ball and charging into the city like a stone shot from a sling, over hundred of them, different mutated creatures appeared as well.
Then, a bolus moves at the throat of the king beast, moving toward the mouth.
Suddenly, it opened its mouth wide, a sparking ball of blue light like a thunder came out and immediately it touched the frontline soldiers, they were turned to ashes. I shouted. I jumped up from my seat, that's was a nightmare I tried to calm myself even though I knew very well that my dreams mostly happen in the future, calm down" I said within me trying to calm my troubled spirit.

Oba has been sleeping as the lecture was going on having read throughout the Night. At this moment he was sweating profusely like a Christmas goat.

The lecturer was disappointed; he wanted to punish obafemi so that other student will learn from it.
"Can you all give him a round of applause", the lecturer said with a forced smile. The whole class clapped for him, this immediately sent a happy sensation to Oba's brain. This will really make him go more popular in class and at the same time draw the attention of the girl he was crushing Natasha, they were in the same department.
"Do you have any question based on what I have taught today" the lecturer asked.

While they stepped out of the class, Oba was diffidence to meeting Natasha as he saw her walking toward the school gate with her friends.

Obi walked away and oba decided to walk toward Natasha.

That was Bryce, a third generation of the jagaban family, his uncle is likely to be the next patriarch of their family. The Jagaban family is a first class family in Lag base city and their net worth exceed that of Elmond family by far gap. although Natasha's family was wealthy but the gap between her family and Bryce 's family was a huge gap. The Jagaban family has a lot of warriors including 3 God of war at intermediate level.
