Chapter 1 - chapter 2:The first step

The next morning felt different.

Roshal woke up before her alarm rang. The sky outside was still soft and quiet, painted in shades of orange and pink. For a moment, she just stood near the window, thinking about her decision from last night.

"I'll do both."

It sounded simple… but she knew it wouldn't be easy.

At college, her friends were busy discussing mock tests and marks.

"Roshal , how much did you score in Physics?" one of them asked.

"Not enough," she smiled slightly.

But inside, something had changed. For the first time, she wasn't comparing herself to others. She was focusing on her own path.

That evening, she sat with a notebook and made a plan.

On one side, she wrote:

MHT-CET Preparation

Study 3 hours daily

Focus on high-weightage chapters

Practice PYQs

On the other side, she wrote:

Cabin Crew Dream

Improve English speaking

Work on confidence

Learn about airlines

She stared at the page for a long time.

Two dreams. One life. One plan.

Days started passing quickly. Some days were productive—she understood concepts, solved questions, and even felt proud of herself.

But some days were hard.

There were moments when formulas didn't make sense, when her mind felt tired, and when doubt slowly crept in again.

"What if I can't handle both?"

One night, after a long and exhausting day, she closed her books and looked at herself in the mirror.

Her eyes were tired.

But they were also determined.

"I didn't start this to quit," she whispered.

The next day, something unexpected happened.

During a college seminar, a guest speaker talked about careers. At the end, he asked,

"Does anyone here have a dream they are scared to say out loud?"

The room went silent.

Roshal's heart started beating fast.

This was her moment.

Her hands trembled… but slowly, she raised it.

Everyone turned to look at her.

"I want to become a cabin crew member…" she said softly, "…and also an engineer."

There were a few whispers. Some surprised faces.

But the speaker smiled.

"That's not confusion," he said. "That's courage."

Roshal felt something she hadn't felt in a long time.

Confidence.

Maybe… just maybe… she was on the right path.

And this was only her first step.
