To keep Solus under control, Evil Peter went all out with his firepower.
Wind Release: Rasenshuriken infused with Vanir divine power, Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Shuriken, Fire Release: Great Flame Big Ball Rasengan—all sorts of attribute-infused orbs were hurled at Solus as if they cost nothing.
The cutting power of the Wind Release, the paralysis effect of the Lightning Release, the continuous burning of the Fire Release... all sorts of effects stacked continuously.
This was only possible because Peter had the Horse Talisman with him, allowing him to extract energy from his body incessantly.
Had it been anyone else, outputting such high-intensity energy continuously would have likely drained them dry and burned them out completely before they could even restrain Solus.
However, this tactic was indeed effective.
Solus had underestimated his opponent, relying on his cosmic energy protection. After tanking the first Rasenshuriken, he no longer had the luxury of choice.
Before he could free himself from the torture of the previous round's hundreds of millions of Chakra needles, Peter's next shuriken had already slammed into his face.
Various elemental debuffs took turns coming into play, constantly chipping away at the defensive capabilities of the cosmic energy.
Such a shameless tactic left Solus at a loss; he was clearly trembling with rage, yet he couldn't move a muscle.
It was just like a Darius with Ghost active running into a Zilean with maxed-out cooldown reduction; he could see the five stacks of Hemorrhage above his head,
yet he was being hard-CC'd in place by the opponent's double Qs, unable to use even a single ultimate no matter how hard he mashed the keyboard.
After being bombarded by Peter for nearly two minutes, Solus finally managed to find a slight opening.
He mobilized a sufficiently powerful amount of cosmic energy to forcibly break free from the control effects, then with blood-red eyes, he roared and charged at Peter:
"Damn little insect, don't get too ahead of yourself."
With a single punch, Solus sent the caught-off-guard Evil Peter flying, but he didn't immediately follow up for close-quarters combat.
The long-lasting control effects from earlier had left him fuming, and he intended to follow Peter's example by using ranged attacks to teach Peter a lesson.
But this man had been accustomed to close-quarters brawling for thousands of years.
He had zero experience in the realm of ranged attacks and could only stand stupidly in place charging up energy waves.
Furthermore, he hadn't gained the true recognition of the cosmic energy. When he used it by force, his movements were like trying to play a modern AAA masterpiece on a ten-year-old mining card—the lag was unbearable to watch.
The few ranged attacks he attempted to fire were laughably slow, all of them predicted by Peter using Observation Haki and dodged with absolute ease.
Of course, this so-called slowness was only relative to a monster like Peter, who had activated Observation Haki.
If it were other Superheroes outside, like Tony or Captain America, at least ninety-nine percent of them wouldn't even have the reaction time before being reduced to powder by the energy waves hitting their faces.
"Oi~ old man, you're not that great, are you? Do I need to get you a pair of reading glasses? I feel like even if I stood still, you wouldn't be able to hit me~"
Seeing that ranged attacks weren't working well against Evil Peter and that his own blood pressure was soaring from the mockery,
the already overheated Solus had to give up on the idea of giving Peter a taste of his own medicine with ranged control. He charged toward Peter instead, deciding to cripple this damn 'the other' first.
After a long game of cat and mouse, Evil Peter was eventually slammed heavily into the ground by Solus, who had caught an opening due to his superior speed.
"Cursed little insect, run! Weren't you very good at running just now? Let's see where you can run this time!"
Solus pinned Peter by the neck with one hand, his tone full of arrogance.
Seeing this, the hearts of the Superheroes almost jumped into their throats.
Gwen, Felicia, Sif, and Natasha were so anxious they wished they could instantly teleport to Peter's side and trade their lives for his.
They frantically pounded on the energy shield in front of them, trying to break in to buy Peter a moment's respite, but their strength was too insignificant before Solus, and there was no way Good Peter would let them in.
On the other side, within the protective shield, Evil Peter—who was being held in the air by the neck by Solus—was clearly in a desperate situation.
And yet, he still smiled. That smile was unrestrained and wild.
"Old man, you're right, I won't be running anymore."
Solus couldn't help but freeze, a faint bad premonition rising in his heart.
But he really couldn't imagine what kind of waves the Peter before him could still stir up, so he suppressed his unease and gave him a mocking smile:
"Realized your failure is inevitable, so you've simply chosen to give up? That is indeed a wise choice."
While he was mocking Evil Peter, Evil Peter quietly turned the Omnitrix on his wrist, and then gave Solus a ferocious grin:
"No, no, no, old man, what kind of beautiful dream are you having? The reason I'm not running is actually because... your time is up."
Boom!
The moment Peter finished speaking, a terrifying power suddenly erupted from within his body.
The sheer terror of that power even made Solus's face change color.
He realized something was wrong and subconsciously tightened his grip, trying to choke Peter to death.
But before he could make a move, Peter's hand had already locked onto his wrist first.
Solus even felt that the strength coming from that hand was enough to instantly crush a Planet.
Only a 'crack' was heard.
In the next second, Solus's wrist was instantly snapped.
His fingers reflexively loosened, but Peter didn't fall to the ground; instead, he floated lightly in mid-air.
His body suddenly turned pitch black, followed by the appearance of scattered starlight, as dreamlike as the cosmic stars.
These starlights gathered on his body, gradually forming patterns that looked like orbital star tracks.
It turned out that Peter had already lasted through the three-minute period for the Omnitrix to copy the genes, successfully copying the Cosmic Energy Mode from Solus.
With the addition of the stellar energy, he also instantly entered Captain Universe Mode.
Seeing the changes appearing on Peter's body and seeing that look which was identical to the Captain Universe Spider-Man he had fought before,
Solus's expression changed drastically. His previously arrogant face instantly became uglier than if he had lost a parent.
He pointed a trembling finger at Peter and couldn't help but scream in shock:
"No, this is impossible! This power is clearly inside my body! How could you obtain this power?!"
Facing his scream, Peter only gave a disdainful smile.
"Who said that just because the power is inside your body, I can't obtain it?"
"Old man, are you ready? The battle is about to be completely reversed."
The moment his voice fell, Peter's figure suddenly vanished. His speed was several times faster than even the previous Solus.
