Chapter 1 - The Shadow of Black Street

The city never truly slept. Even at midnight the neon lights of Black Street flickered like tired eyes watching the darkness. People said the street was cursed, but in a busy city no one cared much about old stories.

Arjun was a journalist who loved investigating mysteries. One evening he heard rumors about people disappearing near an abandoned apartment building at the end of Black Street. Some said they heard whispers at night. Others said they saw shadows moving in empty windows.

Curious and fearless, Arjun decided to visit the place.

The building stood like a dead giant, its broken windows staring into the night. The wind pushed open the rusty gate with a long creaking sound. Arjun stepped inside, his flashlight cutting through the darkness.

The hallway smelled of dust and something rotten. Old newspapers and broken furniture lay scattered across the floor. Suddenly, Arjun heard a faint whisper.

"Leave… before it sees you."

He froze.

"Who's there?" he called out.

Only silence answered him.

Ignoring the warning, Arjun climbed the stairs. Each step echoed through the empty building. On the third floor he noticed something strange. Every door was open except one.

Room 307.

The door was closed and covered in scratch marks, as if someone had tried desperately to escape.

Arjun slowly pushed the door open.

Inside the room, the air felt colder. The walls were covered with strange black handprints. In the center of the room stood an old mirror.

As Arjun stepped closer, he noticed something horrifying.

The mirror showed the room…

But his reflection wasn't moving.

Arjun stepped back, his heart pounding. The reflection slowly turned its head toward him and smiled—a twisted, unnatural smile.

Then it spoke.

"You shouldn't have come here."

The lights in the hallway suddenly went out. Darkness swallowed the room.

Arjun tried to run, but the door slammed shut. Behind him, the mirror cracked loudly.

From the broken glass, a dark shadow began to crawl out. Its shape twisted like smoke, forming a tall figure with hollow eyes.

The whispers grew louder.

"Another soul… another shadow…"

Arjun screamed as the creature lunged forward.

The next morning, the police found the building empty.

Arjun was never seen again.

But sometimes, late at night, if someone walks down Black Street, they might look up at the broken window of Room 307…

And see one more shadow standing behind the glass.
