Chapter 86 - Chapter 86: The Spider Family Exposed Right After Its Formation

Harry's shout caused Peter to react immediately, his face also filled with terror.

Looking down at the spider suit he was still wearing and the group of freaks surrounding him—especially Dr. Samuel's large green head—Peter was panicking hard!

But before Peter could usher everyone from the first underground level down to the second, a foot had already stepped into the entrance of the first level.

Tap——

The sound of those small footsteps hitting the floor made Peter and Harry's hearts skip a beat!

Especially when they saw the person stepping into the Underground Room, the two of them looked like they had seen a ghost!

At the entrance, May stood staring at them with a dark expression.

May's cold gaze first swept over Dr. Banner and the other strangers before landing on her son, Ryan, who stood with his arms crossed and a calm expression.

May said nothing and continued looking at Harry, who had already donned his Venom suit, wrapping himself up tightly.

Then there was Peter; unlike Harry's convenient Venom suit which was like an automatic C2 model, Peter's C1 suit required him to manually put on the mask. He had only managed to get it halfway on, leaving the lower half of his face exposed.

May walked step by step toward the visibly nervous Peter and Harry, saying in a deep voice, "What's this? Have my two children done something shameful? You don't even dare to show your faces in front of me anymore!"

Hearing this, Peter and Harry lowered their heads in shame and resignedly pulled off their masks, revealing their handsome and somewhat youthful faces.

However, the anger and reproach from May that they had imagined did not happen.

May simply reached out, gently caressing their faces, and whispered with heartache, "My children, you must have suffered a lot choosing this path..."

The most heart-wrenching thing is never harsh lectures, but a gentle whisper in the ear.

For instance, May's soft word of concern instantly turned Peter and Harry from crime-fighting Superheroes back into children by their mother's side.

They hugged May from both sides, weeping as they confessed to her that they shouldn't have hidden their identities.

May patted Peter and Harry's backs, comforting them, "It's alright, we will all choose to forgive you. After all, you are doing the right thing, not making a mistake."

Peter and Harry nodded repeatedly.

But they reacted immediately, suddenly looking up at May: "Wait, what do you mean by 'we'?"

May spread her hands and pointed toward the entrance.

Peter and Harry looked in that direction and saw several people standing at the entrance—it was Ben, Gwen, and Mary Jane!

The two couldn't help but exclaim, "What the f—!"

Ben was the first to step forward, looking at his three children with a face full of gratification: "I knew it. My son, nephew, and foster son could never be ordinary. Just like me, you are people with a sense of justice, and you are even Superheroes who carry out that justice!"

"I am very happy that you can use your abilities to do the right thing!"

Hearing Ben's praise, Peter and Harry couldn't help but look a bit proud.

After all, what is more worth being proud of than having what you are doing recognized by your family?

By the way, before moving into the new home, Harry had been taken in by May and Ben as a foster son, which made Harry a complete member of the parker family.

Of course, Harry still kept the Osborn surname; it was just that after his biological father Norman Osborn, he gained a father in terms of affection: Ben Parker.

Finally, May and Ben walked together to Ryan, who had remained calm throughout, and hugged him from both sides, saying with equal pride:

"We saw the news yesterday. You protected your two younger brothers well, and you protected New York well. You are a great older brother, a great hero, and a son who makes us proud!"

Hearing this, Ryan gave a faint smile: "No, I didn't do it for New York. I only did it for you, nothing more..."

He wasn't a hero like Peter, but he was a son of the parker family.

His rushing off last night to beat up Abomination and Hulk had nothing to do with so-called heroic responsibility; it was simply because they threatened his family.

That was all... Ben and May's acceptance of the three brothers being Spider-Men and the formation of the Spider Family happened faster than anyone imagined.

In just a few minutes, the two had completely accepted it and took the initiative to greet Dr. Banner and the others.

Meanwhile, Ryan and Peter walked toward Gwen and Mary Jane, who had come along with Ben and May.

This left Harry with a forehead full of black lines, thinking maybe he should find a girlfriend too, otherwise, he'd be the only single dog among the three brothers... Gwen gave Ryan a helpless smile as he approached: "Sorry, the excuse you guys found last night was just too ridiculous. I really couldn't cover for you. Who goes to the bathroom as a team of three, and stays there for the whole night..."

"And in the live news broadcast last night, if you had appeared alone it might have been fine, but appearing as a trio, the obvious differences in height and build allowed May and Ben to recognize you at a glance..."

Ryan wasn't very surprised by this.

In comics and animation, when Peter acted as Spider-Man alone, he had been discovered by May before.

Now that the three of them were acting together, it would be strange if May and Ben didn't notice something was wrong.

After all, three Superheroes with the exact same builds as their son, nephew, and foster son happened to appear on the news just when the three of them went missing to 'go to the bathroom'—was that reasonable?

So, Ryan hadn't intended to keep hiding it from the old couple this time.

It was just that before he could confess, he spent the night busy training Max, and instead, May and the others found them first.

From the subsequent conversation as everyone sat in the living room upstairs, it turned out May had long suspected Ryan and Peter.

First was Peter; during the previous Lizard Man incident, a woman's sixth sense made May feel that the person fighting the Lizard Man was very much like her nephew Peter.

Then there was Ryan. May was basically responsible for cleaning the house, including the basement, so she had actually discovered the hidden code door on the first underground level long ago. It was just that her son hadn't mentioned it, so she hadn't taken the initiative to ask.

Until last night, when she confirmed from the news that it was her three children who had dealt with those two monsters and saved New York, and after waiting all night, she didn't see anyone return.

Only then did May couldn't help but lead the group back to their old home to catch them red-handed.

So, in reality, among the four who came to catch them, only Ben and Mary Jane were truly ignorant of their secret identities beforehand.
