*Whoosh—*
New York, Parker Building.
In the dark of night, a beam of light shone on the top floor of the building, projecting a conspicuous spider pattern onto the rooftop helipad.
Immediately, the helipad illuminated by the spider pattern split open from both sides, revealing a hidden entrance.
The optically cloaked spider-fighter jet descended directly into the opening. Only after the entire jet had disappeared into the building did the opening close, returning to its appearance as an ordinary helipad.
A moment later, Ryan stepped out from his private office floor with a group of people.
Ryan had discovered this by accident after taking over the building.
He had wondered before; each floor of the Oscorp Tower was quite large, so how could such a massive floor only contain a single chairman's office? Where did the rest of the space go?
As it turned out, he discovered that this floor actually contained a vast hidden space, which housed a concealed hangar.
Combining this with the Green Goblin suit he had found in the underground laboratory level earlier, Ryan reckoned that Norman had already planned to become the Green Goblin, but he had kicked the bucket before he could implement it.
So, this was a bargain for Ryan; he didn't even need to renovate it, as it could be used directly as a hidden storage location for the spider-fighter jet!
It was already late at night when the group returned to the Parker Building.
As for why it took so long...
...it was because, besides Thor, they had brought back several other people this time.
Namely... "Oh my god, this is the Parker Building, so you Spider Family members are actually from Parker Industries?!"
An exclamation rang out.
A woman wearing a beanie and black-rimmed glasses, with a very... "wow" figure, walked out from the hidden door and pressed herself against the massive floor-to-ceiling window in Ryan's office, letting out cry after cry of surprise.
The woman's name was Daisy Lewis.
She was the female intern who accompanied Thor's girlfriend, Jane, in the Thor series; in Thor 1, she had even used a taser to stun the God of Thunder.
Heh, yes, you heard right—the God of Thunder was tasered unconscious... and since Daisy was brought back, Jane herself was naturally no exception.
Earlier, not long after he had taken Thor away and the spider-fighter jet had taken off, Thor, having reclaimed his hammer, thought of his other hammer... oh no, I mean, the other woman he had feelings for.
So, at Thor's request, Ryan turned around to pick up Jane, Daisy, and Dr. Erik Selvig as well.
Now back at his own building, surrounded by people he intended to recruit, Ryan stopped being secretive. His Symbiote suit reshaped itself, transforming into a set of silver-gray shirt and trousers.
This instantly changed Ryan from the Spider Family's Venom into the chairman of Parker Industries.
With a smile on his face, Ryan extended his hand to the three: "Let me introduce myself formally. I am Ryan Parker, the owner of Parker Industries. I would like to formally invite the three of you to join my company. May I have that honor?"
Jane, Dr. Erik, and Daisy stared wide-eyed at Ryan, who had revealed his true face. For a moment, they didn't know whether to be more shocked by his identity or by what he had just said!
Finally, the three looked at each other, their eyes filled with pleasant surprise.
This was because the three of them were originally freelancers, living from hand to mouth. If they hadn't been highly educated intellectuals, they would have long ago become disposable outcasts in a country like America.
Thus, faced with a personal invitation from the CEO of a top-tier company like Ryan, the three naturally chose to join without hesitation.
After a brief round of handshakes, Jane said hesitantly:
"Um... Boss, I think I should tell you first that while the three of us are indeed researchers, we are all in the field of astronomy. Your company seems to specialize in biology, so what can we do for you here?"
Facing Jane's question, Ryan smiled slightly:
"For now, just continue with the projects you're currently researching. Our company only has products in the biological field at the moment, but that doesn't mean we won't expand into other fields in the future. With the expertise the three of you have in astronomy, even if you do nothing and I just support you, I believe you won't let me lose out in the long run."
Hearing this, the three couldn't help but feel moved.
Look at that—now *that* is a good boss! A visionary who understands the value of early investment!
Even if they couldn't contribute anything to the company for now, he would still support them!
But was that really the case?
It could only be said to be half-true.
Ryan indeed didn't plan for his Parker Industries to stop at the biological field; there would certainly be more directions for development in the future.
But the field of astronomy? To be honest, he really had no plans to get involved in it. The only reason he took the three in was entirely because of Thor.
After all, if Thor's girlfriend and the friends he made after coming to Earth were all working under him, Thor would more or less establish more connections with him because of it, wouldn't he?
And Thor was the future King of Asgard, representing all of Asgard.
Rounding that up, didn't it mean his Parker Industries had a connection with Asgard?
Rounding it up again, if the future Queen of Asgard was working for him, wouldn't that be equivalent to Asgard working for Parker Industries?
And in the future, if Parker Industries encountered problems it couldn't solve, it would be only natural for Asgard to come and help, right?
But the prerequisite for all of this was that Thor and Jane's relationship continued to develop, and that Thor reclaimed his hammer and successfully returned to Asgard to become the King.
As long as Thor became the King, with an IQ comparable to that of an adult German Shepherd, Ryan was confident he could manipulate Thor with ease!
As for whether Thor and Jane's relationship would develop smoothly, Ryan didn't need to worry about that. Seeing the way Thor and Jane were already making eyes at each other, it was clear they had already developed feelings for one another.
But... what was up with Jane's assistant, Daisy?
Why had Daisy been staring at him intently ever since he changed his clothes and revealed his true appearance?...Finally, because it was too late today, Ryan temporarily settled Thor and the others in his old home in Queens, waiting until tomorrow to discuss the details of Jane and the others' employment and how to help Thor get his hammer back.
By the way, the hammer was ultimately brought back to the old home in Queens by Peter, much to the chagrin of Thor's resentful gaze.
After all, the current Thor simply wasn't worthy of lifting the hammer.
Before leaving, Ryan also left Max at the old home.
It wasn't that he wanted Max to spy on Thor and the others; rather, after Ryan had absorbed Peter's Spider-Sense, his own sense, which was several times stronger than Peter's, suddenly gave him a very bad premonition about tomorrow upon his return.
He had a feeling that this would be an unprecedented crisis!
You should know that in the original comic book setting, Spider-Sense is a kind of precognitive ability, so Ryan fully trusted this vague feeling of his.
So, after returning, Ryan arranged for his parents to leave New York overnight.
Along with Kingpin.
Since Kingpin also trusted Ryan's sense of danger, he too fled overnight, taking Vanessa, Ben, and May with him.
The reason Ryan notified Kingpin as well was, naturally, to find a free and reliable bodyguard for his parents.
Furthermore, like Nick Fury, Kingpin had his own safe houses all over the World. The place where Ben and May would hide while on the run with Kingpin would certainly be much safer than anywhere Ryan could find.
