Chapter 270 - Chapter 270: Arrival in the Zombie Universe, the Doomsday Trio....

However, Ryan's main purpose in going to the Zombie Universe wasn't actually to find a cure.

Rather, it was because the zombie virus in his own Universe had been confined to the capital of Wakanda from the very beginning due to Otto Parker's decisiveness, and had not leaked out to the rest of the World.

Now, he had stationed a large number of powerful Superheroes there to guard it and prevent any idiots from doing something breathtakingly stupid, so there basically wouldn't be any accidents.

Therefore, staying in his own Universe didn't really serve much of a purpose for him.

So, he might as well take advantage of this interval before the cure was developed to visit the neighboring Zombie Universe and see if he could resolve the situation over there first.

After all, compared to the few zombies in the capital of Wakanda, the entire neighboring Zombie Universe was what truly made Ryan feel uneasy.

Without taking a look, he felt like he wouldn't be able to sleep soundly...

Thus, after arranging everyone's tasks, he relied on the coordinates for the Zombie Universe provided by Otto Parker and set off alone using the dimension-crossing bracelet created by Spider-Man 2099.

As for whether any accidents would occur in his own Universe, Ryan wasn't actually worried.

After all, the dimension-crossing bracelet made by Spider-Man 2099 was capable of cross-universal communication; even if something unexpected happened in his Universe, as long as all the Superheroes on Earth didn't die or mutate instantly, others could call him for support through the bracelet.

He could travel back immediately.

And if it were an event capable of killing everyone on Earth in an instant, it likely wouldn't make much difference whether Ryan was there or not.

After all, he might possess the power to destroy a Planet, but he lacked the power to protect one...

(Earth-99999)

New York.

A web-like red portal opened, and a pair of large silver-gray hands gripped both sides of the portal as Ryan's tall figure stepped out.

"Hrrr—"

As soon as he stepped out of the portal, the first thing that reached Ryan's ears was the surround-sound low moaning of zombies.

The city he arrived in was surrounded by infected zombies and dilapidated, blood-stained skyscrapers.

Furthermore, besides ordinary zombies, Ryan was surprised to see several behemoths dozens of meters tall roaming through the city!

And judging by the signs of decay on these behemoths, they were clearly all zombies as well!

These giants weren't even Superhuman zombies, but ordinary ones.

The reason they were so large was purely due to the influence of Pym Particles.

This also made Ryan more certain that this Zombie Universe was the one from what if...??

The zombie crisis triggered by Dr. Pym led to the leakage of Pym Particles, resulting in numerous giant zombies—it made perfect sense, right?

However, Ryan had no interest whatsoever in these ordinary zombies, or even the zombies that had grown into giants due to the Pym Particles.

Moreover, these low-level, mindless zombies didn't even have the desire to attack Ryan, who possessed the Mind Stone, so there was even less need for him to pay them any mind.

Ryan didn't linger in New York, which had already fallen into a zombie kingdom; he took to the air, planning to see if he could find a living person in this Zombie Universe to ask about the current situation and find a proper solution.

After all, although Marvel's what if...?? series featured a zombie episode, it only showed a small part of this Zombie Universe and was far from complete.

Ryan had heard that a dedicated Zombie Universe series was released later, but he had transmigrated before he had the chance to watch it.

He had no idea what that series was about.

Looking at the current state of this Universe, it was clearly no longer the early stages of the zombie outbreak seen in what if...??, but likely already in the mid-to-late stages.

Perhaps it had already reached the timeline of the zombie series he hadn't watched.

So, regardless, he needed to find a "local" to ask about the situation.

Provided there were still any locals left alive~

However, there likely weren't any in the cities; after all, cities were usually gathering points for zombies. Even if there were survivors, no fool would stay and live in a city under these circumstances.

That was why Ryan left zombie-infested New York without a second thought.

But what Ryan didn't notice was that just as he flew away from the city, a figure on top of a skyscraper, holding a compound bow and carrying arrows, was tilting its head and staring at his receding back.

That was none other than Marvel's mascot, the king of team fights, Hawkeye, Clinton Barton!

That's right, in this Universe, Hawkeye was also infected!

But this Hawkeye was very strange; he didn't show hostility toward Ryan like the previously encountered self-aware Six-Armed Zombie Spider-Man and zombie Black Panther. Instead, he just stared quietly at Ryan like an ordinary zombie.

This was also why Ryan hadn't noticed a special zombie watching him.

After all, with so many zombies in the city, how could he possibly notice every single gaze?

The reason the zombie Hawkeye didn't show any desire to attack wasn't of his own volition, but rather...

Red light flickered in the zombie Hawkeye's eyes, and looking closely, one could see a faint, slender red shadow within his pupils!

It was as if she were looking at him through him...

After flying for an unknown amount of time and over many regions, just as Ryan was becoming a bit impatient, he finally saw some movement other than the roaring of zombies!

It was in an exaggerated canyon that looked as though it had been struck by a meteorite.

A jeep was driving along the long road in the canyon.

With Ryan's keen eyesight, even from high above the clouds, he could clearly see the identities of the three people in the jeep.

However, after seeing them clearly, Ryan's brow furrowed.

The good news was that the people in the car were the living humans he was looking for.

The bad news was that not one of the living people in the car was someone he was familiar with.

Or rather, none of them were people he had befriended since arriving in the Marvel Universe.

Because these three were all second-generation Avengers.

First was the biggest pile of crap Marvel had produced since Avengers 4: the second-generation Iron Man, Ironheart, Riri Williams.

Then there was the second pile of crap, only slightly better than Ironheart: the second-generation Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, Kamala Khan.

Finally, there was the one who seemed the most normal of the three second-generation Avengers to Ryan: the second-generation Hawkeye, Kate Bishop.

Of course, Kate Bishop only seemed relatively normal compared to the two idiots in front of her.

At least in her solo series, Kate's looks and character arc were relatively normal.

But having found only these three after searching for so long, Ryan had no choice; he was just about to go down and ask them what they knew.

Suddenly, his figure paused, and he turned his head to look toward the back of the valley, raising an eyebrow.

"Interesting. Just as I said I hadn't met any acquaintances, an 'acquaintance' shows up immediately..."
