Chapter 1 - “The Girl Who Borrowed Time”

Title: "The Girl Who Borrowed Time"

Chapter 1: The Clock That Stopped

At exactly 2:17 AM, every clock in Aria's room stopped.

Not slowed. Not broken.

Stopped.

Her phone froze mid-second. The wall clock held its breath. Even the ticking sound vanished—as if time itself had been erased from her world.

Aria sat up slowly, her heart beating louder than silence.

"Power cut?" she whispered.

But the lights were still on.

She stepped out of bed. The air felt… thick. Unmoving. Like the world was paused and only she was left awake inside it.

Then she saw him.

A boy standing near her window.

Not just standing—waiting.

Chapter 2: The Boy Outside Time

"You're not supposed to be awake," he said calmly.

Aria didn't scream. Something inside her told her that screaming wouldn't work here.

"Who are you?" she asked.

He smiled slightly. "Someone who ran out of time."

His name was Kael.

He explained it like it was normal:

Time had layers. People lived inside one layer, moving forward. But sometimes… someone slipped out.

"I stole time," Kael admitted. "Now time doesn't want me back."

Aria frowned. "That makes no sense."

"Good," he said. "It means you still belong to it."

Chapter 3: Borrowed Seconds

Kael gave her a strange offer.

"Come with me," he said. "I can show you things no one has ever seen."

Aria hesitated. "What's the catch?"

He looked away for the first time.

"You'll lose something. Everyone does."

Before she could ask more, he held out his hand.

The moment she touched it—

The world shattered into seconds.

Not pieces. Not light.

Seconds.

She saw people frozen mid-laugh, rain hanging in the air, birds paused between wings.

Time wasn't moving.

But she was.

Chapter 4: The Market of Lost Moments

They walked through a place that shouldn't exist.

A marketplace.

But instead of food or clothes, people were selling memories.

A woman held a glowing jar.

"My happiest day," she whispered.

A man traded years of his life just to forget someone.

Aria felt sick.

"Why would anyone do this?" she asked.

Kael replied softly, "Because time hurts more than it heals for some people."

Then he turned to her.

"What would you trade?"

Chapter 5: The Price

Aria laughed nervously. "I wouldn't trade anything."

Kael didn't smile.

"Everyone says that."

A shadow passed over the sky—if it even was a sky.

"Time is looking for me," he said.

"Why?" she asked.

"Because I broke its rules," he replied. "And now… it wants balance."

"And me?" Aria whispered.

He looked at her, eyes softer than before.

"You're already part of the deal."

Chapter 6: The Truth He Hid

Kael finally told her the truth.

He didn't just steal time.

He borrowed it from someone else.

That someone…

Was Aria.

Before she even met him.

"You had years I needed," he said quietly.

"So I took them."

Aria stepped back, shocked.

"You're saying… my life is shorter because of you?"

Kael nodded.

Silence.

Then she asked the question that changed everything—

"Can I take it back?"

Chapter 7: The Choice

They stood at the edge of time itself.

A place where everything returned to its original path.

"You can take your time back," Kael said.

"But if you do… I'll disappear."

Aria's chest tightened.

"Completely?"

He nodded.

"No memory. No trace. Like I never existed."

She looked at him—the boy who showed her a world beyond reality.

"You stole from me," she said.

"I know."

"But you also gave me something."

"What?" he asked softly.

She smiled sadly.

"A reason to see life differently."

Chapter 8: The Girl Who Chose Time

Aria closed her eyes.

Time waited.

Kael waited.

The universe held its breath.

Then—

"I want my time back."

The world exploded into motion.

Clocks started ticking.

Rain fell.

Birds flew.

And Kael…

Was gone.

Chapter 9: 2:18 AM

Aria woke up in her bed.

The clock read 2:18 AM.

Everything felt normal.

Too normal.

But something was different.

She looked at her hand.

Empty.

Yet… it felt like she had held something important.

Someone important.

She whispered without knowing why—

"Kael…"

No answer.

But somewhere, deep inside time…

A forgotten second trembled.

Chapter 10: The Echo

Days passed.

Life moved on.

But sometimes, at exactly 2:17 AM—

Her clock would pause.

Just for a second.

And in that silence…

She felt it.

Not a memory.

Not a dream.

An echo.

Like time itself hadn't fully erased him.

And maybe…

Somewhere beyond seconds and minutes—

Kael was still waiting.

✨ End… or Beginning?
