Chapter 14 - Chapter 13

"Bitch did you just call me a monkey!?"

Did she just call me a monkey!?

"Was I in error? Thou art a monke, dost thou deny it?

She's serious. She's fucking serious. I suddenly felt like laughing, when was the last time I've been caught off gaurd and allowed myself to be rage baited like this? That was in my past life when my friend told me he deleted my save files for elden ring or when I was arguing about dumb shit with another only for them to just rage bait me for the hell of it.

"The lion, the witch and the audacity of this bitch."

I Murmured out and looked at her, I'm pretty sure she heard me but I don't care, I'm was a crashout in my past life and I'm still a crashout in this life, just a smarter one.

"I'm Arthur, leader of this tiny group of people. It's not my pleasure to meet you."

Well my group is tiny compared to lot of other survivor groups I've seen. There are plus-minus 150 people here, majority of them aren't combatants but are still people I'm teaching and training in a couple of professions. We've got medics, engineers, cooks, pilots etc. They're still learning but they're doing it fast while also getting practical experience due to the simulation training pods I created.

Anyway back to the topic at hand.

"Now then, since introductions are over with, tell me why you easily and readily decided to follow my team back to our base."

"Hmm."

She ignored my question and just stared at me with those glowing purple eyes of hers.

Her appearance can only be described as darkly ethereal. She has long, flowing silver-white hair that frames her face, pale skin that gives them a ghostly or rather a supernatural presence. Her one visible eye glows with a vivid violet-purple light while her other eye is obscured by her hair and shadow, she had a stern yet intense expression conveying determination and coldness.

If I wasn't a psyker I would be able to tell what she was thinking, well more like feeling actually.

She wore a dark, blackened armour with metallic shoulder plates and a fitted chest piece. A tattered dark cloak wrapped around her neck and shoulders. The arour looks looked worn and battle tested.

Yet I can tell that this appearance is just a camouflage to cause people of underestimate her.

I also looked slightly above her head and there it or she was. A daemon, a Slaneesh daemon? Floating and circling around the black and white soul. Cradling it in her arms. Possessively.

The daemon has deep purple skin, large curved horns of the same color rising from the top of her head. She has long, flowing silver-white hair that falls down to her shoulders and back. Her eyes are narrow and expressive giving her a cunning and playful look, on her forehead was a visible crescent-shaped marking and a long, forked tongue extending from her mouth. She also had a large muscular tail curling behind and around her body.

She wore an elaborate black and purple outfit accented with gold details. The attire seems to combine elements of noble clothing and ceremonial robes, flowing fabric panels hang from her waist and trail downwards and several pieces of jewelry adorn her ears wrists and horns. Finally high-heeled footwear that further enhances her elegant silhouette.

Why wear heels when your not even walk with them? Also she's definitely a Slaneesh demon. I've never met one before but she's definitely what a demon of the God of Excess would look like.

She was looking at me with interest and hunger in her eyes.

Emperor have mercy cause she's so damn sexy. I understand why alot of people fall for them and get killed for that shit.

I shot her a wink, causing her eyes to widen in surprise before she licked her lips seductively and start to slowly move towards me.

"You can see me, can't you?"

'Wouldn't you like to know?'

I shrugged and look back at her in interest, well I'm interested in this fascinating sight before me, a daemon of Slaneesh and an Eldari. The symbiotic relationship formed between the two of them where the daemon feeds on the negative emotions and corruption of the dark Eldar and the Dark Eldar uses the daemon as a cover from Slaneesh and a conduit to siphon off warp energy and use her psychic powers.

It was really, really interesting to see. One would think such a sight would be impossible to see but here it is, infront of me.

"Are you done with your probing Elf?"

That seemed to snap her out of it, causing her to look at me in surprise, interest and weariness with the latter increasing more with whatever the daemon is telling her.

Her mental defenses are strong. I really want to see what's in that head of hers and if there's anything useful I can find but I guess I won't get what I want unless I brute force it.

If I brute force and blatantly break into her mind then she's going to feel it which would lead to a massive fight where both of us will die, while also leading to casualties among my group.

Mari is strong, probably the strongest person I've met since I got here based on the warning my intuition is sending me and this is also the reason why I told the others not fight her when they first met as she would have killed all of them instantly.

"Thou art a most intriguing monke indeed, yet thy strength fallelth short. I bend the knee to none weaker then myself."

I rolled my eyes at her dismissively and that seems to irritate her. I never said anything about recruiting her or turning her into a follower and yet it seems like that's what she came here for. To join us, to join me.

[Notice: Appraisal complete. Uploading information.]

—sigh—

"It seemeth I shall have to slay thee, then."

"You seem awfully confident for someone who can be killed by snapping that connection you have with that daemon."

That got her and the daemon on high-alert, they're weariness immediately turning to hostility.

"My, my~ why the sudden hostility?"

A grin found its way to my face. I felt warp energy stirring and a spike of killing intent.

"How doust know of that? Speak carefully."

Her voice turned dark and chilling. As for me? I had a shit eating grin even though her murderous glare sent shivers down my spine.

"Wouldn't you like to know? Where's your earlier disdain huh? Where's all that dismissive attitude you had?"

Just as she was about to move, I locked on to their connection and tightened my psychic grip on it, causing her to freeze. I walked up to her frozen stiff body and lightly tapped her cheek.

Doing that seems to further increase her hostility and it lowered her mental defenses enough for me to hear this:

How dare he!? How dare this MONKE touch ME!?

"Your angry? How cute~"

I brought my face closer to hers and looked her directly in the eye and smirked.

"You should think carefully before threatening someone you know nothing about."

My voice dropped in volume and the tone turned darker and colder.

"I really don't like it when someone threatens me y'know. Especially in my own base, where my people are, where they might have gotten hurt or worse killed because of your actions."

I force choked the daemon in the warp and further tightened my grip on their psychic connection causing it to almost break.

"And you~. I really don't like daemons, especially those who fucking look at me like I'm a big, fat, juicy meal. So know your fucking place."

After that I let go of the daemon and stepped back from Mari. I found a chair to sit on and looked back at her, loosening my grip on the connection.

"Now then tell me why you chose to follow my team. Don't think of lying for even a second otherwise I'll find the answer for myself in that head of Yours and I promise you this, it won't be nice."

Mari stood straight, loosening her stance and used telekinesis to bring herself a chair to sit on comfortably.

The audacity.

"It leaveth much to be desired, yet it shall do for the time being."

Is there something wrong with this bitch!?

[Answer: She's a Drukhari.]

True.

—sigh!—

I leaned back on the chair and looked at her in excespiration.

"Talk Eldar. I don't have time to waist on you."

"Very well, then. A month ago did I arrive upon this world, drawn hither by a vision. It spake of one who resideth here—one with the power to assist me in affairs concerning She Who Thirsts."

Okay now I'm invested in this, someone who can deal with the matters concerning the chaos gods is someone that I must recruit or at least steal their knowledge.

So I leaned forward in anticipation, after all its not everyday you get interesting information.

"So.. did you find them?"

She looked at me like I was an idiot. It didn't even take a second for the answer to click.

"—snort—"

"So I believed. It appeareth I was wrong."

[Answer: Bruh...]

I facepalmed.

I'm stupid aren't I?

[Answer: It appears so.]

"Yeah girlie, I think your vision was wrong. I can't help you with that. Not yet at least."

—Tsk!—

"Useless."

—Snort—

"Yeah well, at least my race didn't give birth to a fucking Chaos God."

"Heh... He got you right there."

At least she had the decency to look away.

"Okay then, now that your business is over and unsuccessful, you can go. Your free to leave. To fuck off and all that."

Seeing that she's got nothing useful to say, I got up shooed out of my place. Yet there's one fact I didn't account for when dealing with a Drukhari.

These being have no fucking shame.

"Certainly not. I have no intention of leaving. I came all this way seeking thee, and thus thou art obliged to accommodate me. It would be most inconvenient for me to return later, so thou shalt simply keep me until such time as thou canst be of use and fulfill thy duty without delay."

What the fuck? Nah fuck this bitch, I'm done playing games.

[Answer: It would be wise to keep her around.]

Nah great sage we don't need her plus I am not letting a fucking Drukhari stay here. They are literally the most hated race in the entire damn galaxy and as it stands now we're already on the imperium's kill list. If we add her than we gonna get fucking hunted down.

[Answer: What master says is true. Taking her in will be troublesome no doubt but here being here will also help improve both our combat power and knowledge well especially on Eldari tech, martial arts and psychic arts.

She is experienced in both of the latter. Further more we can take apart her suit and space ship to improve our own spacecraft while also adding knowledge on how to create our own web way. The daemon can also be of use for 'that' plan.]

—sigh—

Goddammit. Fine I'll do it but on my terms.

"Fine. I'll accommodate you for the time being—"

"As thou shouldst."

Oh I wish I could slap that fucking smug look of her face.

"But you have to make yourself useful around here."

And it's gone. It feels good to see that smug look gone.

"You will thoroughly train the people I choose in combat with sincere effort with no torturing or tormenting them. You will share all your knowledge concerning technology and psychic deciplines. You will live among my people without you discriminating them, treating them like trash or lesser beings. You will show them respect just as they have you. And lastly you will give me both your spacecraft and that advanced suit you are wearing as compensation for the mental and emotional damage I suffered."

"Deny any of this and I'll kick out of my base. You've got five minutes, starting now."

Ahh~ how satisfying it is to see her look like she ate shit and I'm not the only one who's enjoying her suffering.

"Hahahhhahaha... The look on your face is priceless. HAHAHAhahahaHaAhaHahaha."

The end. Chapter 13 ends with Arthur dealing with a shameless dark Elf. Honestly I was quite satisfying to write the conversation between the two so I hope you guys enjoyed it too.
