Chapter 4 - Episode 4: A Softness He Forgot

Morning light tried to enter the dark castle…

but heavy curtains blocked almost everything.

Still—

A faint golden glow slipped into Ayaan's room.

Meera slowly opened the door.

"Ayaan…?" she called gently.

The child was sitting near the window, staring outside.

Quiet. Still. Alone.

Meera walked closer.

"Good morning," she smiled.

No response.

She sat beside him.

"You know… yesterday you scared me a lot," she said lightly.

Ayaan glanced at her.

"…You stayed."

Meera blinked.

"Hm?"

"You didn't run away," he said softly.

Meera smiled.

"Should I have?"

Ayaan didn't answer.

But something in his eyes changed.

After a moment, Meera slowly held out her hand.

"Friends?"

Ayaan stared at her hand… confused.

As if no one had ever asked him that before.

Then slowly—

he placed his small, cold hand in hers.

Downstairs…

Arvian stood in the shadows.

Watching.

Always watching.

His eyes softened slightly.

"She's… different," he murmured.

Ayaan never allowed anyone close.

Never trusted anyone.

But with her…

everything was changing.

Back in the room—

Meera laughed softly.

"See? That wasn't so hard."

Ayaan almost… smiled.

But suddenly—

⚡ A strong gust of wind shook the windows.

The atmosphere shifted.

Dark. Heavy.

Dangerous.

Ayaan's expression changed instantly.

Fear.

"Hide," he whispered.

Meera frowned.

"What—?"

Before she could finish—

The castle trembled slightly.

Downstairs—

Arvian's eyes turned sharp.

He stepped forward, his aura turning deadly.

"They're here…"

Outside the castle gates—

Dark figures appeared in the mist.

Not human.

Not weak.

And definitely not welcome.

Back upstairs—

Ayaan grabbed Meera's hand tightly.

"They'll take you…"

Meera's heart raced.

💔 Thump… thump…

"Who?" she whispered.

Down below—

Arvian's voice echoed through the entire castle—

🔥 "NO ONE touches what is mine."

TWIST 🔥

Someone powerful has come for the castle…

And now—

Meera is no longer just a nanny.

She's a target.
