Chapter 61 - [MAX] 61: Special Classes

Adam recalled everything that had happened in the First Singularity. Without question, the one thing burned deepest into his memory was Jeanne Alter.

After all these years of journeys, whenever he looked back and saw her, only one thought came to mind:

Jeanne Alter! I like you!

But…

Then again…

The Jeanne Alter Adam liked was the one waiting for him back in his own Chaldea. What did she have to do with the Jeanne Alter he was about to meet in this Singularity?

"I like Jeanne Alter. What does that have to do with you?"

The key to clearing the First Singularity was obviously Jeanne Alter herself.

The Holy Grail was inside her body.

Defeat her, take the Grail, and the Singularity would be resolved.

As for who Adam would use to beat her…

The corner of his mouth curved upward in a grin that grew more and more pleased.

Sure, the most common species in his Chaldea was the Artoria variety.

But his Jeanne variety was nothing to scoff at either!

Adam thought of the Archer-class Jeanne—the swimsuit version everyone called Big Sis Jeanne.

After all, in the First Singularity, Jeanne Alter held a massive grudge against the original white Jeanne.

He wondered what kind of face Jeanne Alter would make when she saw her swimsuit-clad "big sister."

Because in Adam's eyes, even though Swimsuit Jeanne's class was Archer, she acted more like a Berserker.

According to her own words, being on vacation meant she didn't have to hold back like usual.

So she would chase Jeanne Alter all over the battlefield, insisting the Dragon Witch call her "big sis."

The expression on Jeanne Alter's face the moment she was summoned into that scene… Adam could already picture how entertaining it would be.

Heh. Heh. Heh.

He was sure he could squeeze plenty of emotion points out of her.

What? You're asking what happens after he deals with Jeanne Alter and brings her back to Chaldea?

Thanks to the modifications little Da Vinci had made to the Servant summoning system, once Adam cleared the First Singularity and summoned Jeanne Alter, she would inherit all the memories from his original Chaldea.

So when she remembered everything that happened in the Singularity, what then?

Adam simply smiled.

No problem at all.

He would just pull her straight into the room and shut the door.

The best way to handle that tsundere attitude was a direct frontal assault.

Between him and Jeanne Alter, there was nothing one trip into the bedroom couldn't fix.

The thought alone made yesterday night's events flash through Adam's mind.

It had been wild.

Shy little Mash had been easy to handle, but a fully unleashed Artoria Alter had been a handful—though only a handful.

Her only real advantage was raw physical strength. Everything else had been completely one-sided.

Adam turned his gaze to the two women still sleeping on the bed.

Both of them were murmuring the strangest things in their dreams.

Mash looked utterly content, a soft smile on her lips.

"Senpai… again… mmm… Senpai…"

Artoria Alter's closed eyelids fluttered, a faint blush coloring her cheeks. She bit her lower lip, her body still tense even in sleep.

"Damn it… making me look like this… mmm… getting carried away…"

Watching them, Adam suddenly felt playful. He stepped closer.

First he slipped a finger into Mash's mouth.

She tasted something familiar and instinctively began to suck on it, little by little, as if savoring a treat.

Adam hadn't even moved his finger.

Last night Mash had been competing with Artoria Alter and had been especially fixated on this. Under Adam's patient guidance, she had improved a lot.

He smiled and turned to Artoria Alter beside her.

He glanced at her royal stomach—already full thanks to him—and the spot just below it.

Yesterday he had filled her completely.

So he reached down and gave a light squeeze.

The cream inside the little "puff" he had given Artoria Alter slowly began to leak out.

She let out a soft whimper.

"Mmm~"

Then her eyes slowly opened. The first thing she saw was her beloved Master's smiling face.

Artoria Alter's own lips curved into a happy, heartfelt smile. She tried to sit up, but the after-effects of last night's thorough attention left her a little dizzy. Still half-asleep, she mumbled,

"Master… is it morning already?"

Her movement woke Mash as well.

Mash sat up, licked her lips twice as if still tasting something delicious, then looked at her dear Senpai. The memories of last night flooded back, turning her cheeks a lovely shade of pink, but she still beamed with happiness.

"Good morning, Senpai."

Adam greeted both of them at the same time.

Artoria Alter felt the lingering soreness in her body—the sweet remnants of yesterday night—and because it was Adam who had caused it, she savored every second of it.

While enjoying the feeling, she also remembered how embarrassingly she had behaved.

Begging for mercy was one thing, but actually passing out?

Still, determined to preserve her dignity, Artoria Alter put on her best tsundere face and said,

"You were… passable yesterday, I suppose."

Adam just chuckled at her stubborn act.

He wondered if she had picked up that attitude from Jeanne Alter.

Artoria Alter started to get out of bed, only to feel an immediate wave of discomfort.

"Ugh!"

She wanted to stand, but her legs refused to cooperate. She had to brace herself on the edge of the bed just to stay upright.

Even then, she refused to admit defeat. She wanted to prove something.

She let go of the bed, trying to stand on her own two feet—

And promptly toppled straight into Adam's arms.

He caught the soft, adorable little king and smiled in pure delight.

"Only passable, huh?"

Artoria Alter pressed her lips together. Her face instantly grew hot. She looked away, unable to meet his eyes.

Mash watched from the side and puffed her cheeks in playful jealousy.

So cute.

The single sentence from Adam sent Artoria Alter's mind reeling back to last night. Then she noticed something off and asked, puzzled,

"Adam, how did your stamina suddenly get so much stronger yesterday?"

"We went at it for so long. You should have been the most exhausted, yet you look completely fine."

Mash thought back as well and nodded, dazed.

"Yeah… Senpai was amazing, but you should have been tired too."

Adam: "..."

He stayed quiet for two whole seconds, then answered their question with a straight face.

"Time marches on. I'm getting stronger too, so my stamina naturally improved along with everything else."

The innocent Mash half-believed him.

Artoria Alter simply raised an eyebrow and kept staring, searching his face for any crack in the story.

Under her gaze, Adam said nothing. He just quietly glanced at the remaining apples in his system menu.

[Golden Apple × 0]

[Silver Apple × 2]

[Bronze Apple × 5]

Even before, he could take on multiple partners without breaking a sweat.

But after a night like that, how would he normally feel?

That was beside the point for now…

Thanks to the apples, he could still act perfectly normal and stay full of energy.

The problem was, the apples were almost gone, and he still hadn't drawn a Mystic Code that could boost his recovery ability.

All of that would require a huge amount of emotion points.

Looking at Mash and Artoria Alter, Adam's thoughts drifted to Jeanne Alter, who would soon be joining them after the First Singularity.

His craving for emotion points grew even stronger.

Just then, a knock sounded at the door.

Knock knock knock.

"Master, time to wake up."

It was Da Vinci-chan's voice.

Adam recognized it instantly.

Right—he still had to make her favorite tomato pasta to keep her happy.

Perfect. His desire for emotion points increased yet again.

"Master, are you up?"

"There's something I need to tell you. I'm coming in."

Da Vinci tried the door, but found it locked.

Adam glanced at Mash and Artoria Alter, both still completely naked.

Under Mash's pleading look, he called out,

"Wait a second, Da Vinci-chan."

Mash scrambled to throw on her clothes in a panic.

Artoria Alter simply let black-and-red magical energy flash across her body, and her usual black outfit instantly materialized.

The cream still inside her little "puff," of course, remained right where it was.

Outside, Da Vinci seemed to sense something.

"Hm? Master, why did the magical energy reading in your room just spike?"

"Is someone else in there with you?"

The moment she finished speaking, Adam opened the door, revealing Mash and Artoria Alter behind him.

"Mash and Artoria are here."

Da Vinci stared blankly at the two girls.

"Eh? What were you three doing in Master's room so early in the morning?"

Mash panicked for a moment, glanced at Artoria Alter beside her, and her brain spun into overdrive.

"Um… Artoria and I came to invite Senpai to breakfast!"

As she spoke, she sneaked a glance at the bed—the scene hidden beneath the covers.

Please don't let Da Vinci flip the blanket.

Da Vinci tilted her head, still doubtful.

"Really?"

She looked at Mash's outfit: the tie was crooked, the uniform wrinkled like it had just been thrown on, and her hair was a mess.

In Da Vinci's memory, Mash always made sure she looked perfect before seeing Adam.

Then she turned her suspicious gaze to Adam.

He simply gave her the universal "you know how it is" look.

Da Vinci understood instantly. Her eyes widened in surprise as she looked from Mash to Artoria Alter.

Mash and Adam together? That was normal.

But Mash and Artoria Alter together with Adam? That was shocking!

The usually shy Mash had a side like this? What on earth had triggered it?

Da Vinci had come to tell Adam that after breakfast there would be a strategy meeting for the First Singularity. She was here to make sure he attended.

Adam understood immediately. They were about to tackle the First Singularity, and this meeting would set the exact time.

So he took Mash, Artoria Alter, and Da Vinci-chan with him to Chaldea's cafeteria for breakfast.

Breakfast itself was secondary. The real reason was to catch up with the Servants who had been summoned yesterday.

After all, they were all from his original Chaldea.

At the counter he saw Emiya hard at work.

Adam walked up and greeted him cheerfully—only to make Emiya's brow twitch in instant headache.

"Good morning, Mom."

Emiya's reaction was explosive.

"How many times do I have to tell you?!"

"I am not your mom!!!"

"Got it, Mom. I'll remember, Mom."

Adam nodded with the expression that clearly said "message received, will do it again."

Emiya ground his teeth, nearly lost his temper, then finally sighed in defeat.

"Fine. Whatever."

"Master, what would you like this morning?"

Adam looked over the dazzling array of dishes, each one perfectly plated. That was the true value of Housekeeping EX.

In the end, he picked the one he was craving most.

"A bowl of curry rice, please."

He carried his tray away while Mash and Artoria Alter ordered their own food.

Well, Artoria Alter's order was… a lot. She basically cleared out half the cafeteria's stock.

Emiya's face twisted the moment he saw how much she took.

No one had told him this Chaldea had already summoned an Artoria!

One Artoria meant the food supply would mysteriously vanish!

If he had known, he would have prepared way more.

Sighing, Emiya disappeared back into the kitchen. The sound of pots and pans already echoed furiously.

What Adam didn't notice was a pair of purple eyes watching them from across the room.

It was Medusa, seated in the distance. She looked at Artoria Alter beside Adam and clicked her tongue in displeasure.

"Tch… too late, huh?"

Adam found a seat, and by coincidence Doctor Roman was right next to him.

After they exchanged morning greetings, Roman's expression turned serious.

"By the way, Adam."

"I looked up some records about Servant summoning. There are certain taboos I'm not sure you're aware of."

Adam paused mid-bite, intrigued.

Restrictions on summoning Servants? This was new.

"I'm listening."

Roman took a deep breath. What he was about to say was no small matter.

"You know… Servants outside the seven standard classes?"

Adam's mind instantly flashed to the dozens of extra-class Servants back in his Chaldea.

"I do. Why?"

Roman swallowed hard.

"Besides the occasional Ruler dispatched by the Counter Force… summoning other extra-class Servants can provoke the Counter Force's resistance."

"The most dangerous ones I found in the records are Avenger, Alter Ego, and others like them."

"Summoning them could make the Counter Force see us as enemies."

"Adam… your Chaldea doesn't have any of those special-class Servants, right?"
