Nancy Bobofit, a human equivalent of recycled chewed gum, found immense joy in tormenting me. A flick of her wrist, a half-eaten sandwich, and the smug glint in her eyes as Grover's head became her target. A primal heat flared in my gut, a force I barely recognized. I wanted to lash out, to make her regret it. But the world had other plans for where my anger would lead.
