Rin's thoughts were barely holding together.
I need to get out of here.
I need to run.
That was the only thing his remaining reason could tell him. But escaping was impossible.
The leash around his neck was still firmly held in Kaelith's hand, and judging by the expression on the King's face, he had no intention of letting go anytime soon.
"Let me go," Rin said, his voice trembling despite his efforts to sound firm.
For Kaelith, however, those three words seemed to have the complete opposite effect. His crimson eyes darkened with obsession.
Instead of releasing Rin, Kaelith pulled him closer until their faces were only inches apart.
"Wife... you shouldn't seduce me like this."
His voice was dangerously soft.
"After all, I'm devoted only to you."
Rin barely had time to process those words before Kaelith closed the remaining distance between them. Rin froze.
