Chapter 2 - Unspoken Feelings

Aira had never truly fallen in love with anyone.

For her, feelings were always distant—uncertain.

Aarohi, on the other hand, had fallen in love twice before.

The next day, Aarohi texted again.

"Hey… what's your name?"

She replied,

"Aira. Yours?"

Aarohi smiled at the screen.

"Your name is very beautiful… I'm Aarohi."

"Yours too,"

she replied softly.

Something about this conversation felt different to Aira.

Something… she had never felt before.

Aarohi was a writer.

She had already written two novels, and both were quite popular.

But there was something she was confused about.

Because of Aira's looks and personality, Aarohi had assumed that Aira might be a boy.

She wanted to confirm it… but didn't ask directly.

One day, while they were talking about random things, Aarohi suddenly said,

"Let's talk on a call… my hands are hurting."

Aira hesitated for a moment, then agreed.

Their call lasted for minutes… but it felt much longer.

There was a strange comfort in hearing each other's voices.

Aarohi asked,

"Have you ever been in a relationship?"

Aira replied,

"Once… but it was just attraction."

"How's your life?" Aarohi asked.

"It's okay… I'm happy," Aira said, though her voice carried a quiet emptiness.

After a pause, Aarohi said,

"Why are you interested in psychology? I like it because of a novel—Tell Me Your Dreams."

Aira smiled slightly.

"I don't know… I just like it."

"Tell me about yourself," Aira asked.

Aarohi replied excitedly,

"I'm into a lot of things—collecting leaves and flowers, writing, reading books… studying personality traits, journaling… I'm very girly too."

"Okay," Aira said.

But she was listening carefully.

Slowly… Aira started getting attached to Aarohi.

And Aarohi—

She was already deeply attached.

Aarohi had started growing distant from her boyfriend and even her best friend.

All she wanted… was to talk to Aira.

She was always the one texting first.

Aira, however, was scared.

Scared of trusting again.

Scared of getting hurt.

So she tried to talk less.

But deep inside…

She was feeling something for Aarohi.

She just didn't understand it yet.

As for Aarohi—

She was drawn to everything about Aira.

Her looks.

Her hairstyle.

The way she talked.

Her kindness… her softness.

Aarohi didn't know what she was feeling.

All she knew was—

She just wanted to talk to Aira.
