At that moment, Bulma made a grand gesture with her hand.
"Everyone! I'm hosting a huge party at my place tonight. You all have to come to celebrate our great victory. And don't worry—there's going to be plenty of delicious food!"
That last sentence immediately caught Son Goku's attention. After all, besides training, food was his greatest passion.
"Really? Then I'm definitely coming!"
"You can come, but remember to bring Chi-Chi..." Turles reminded him.
A flash of tenderness appeared in Goku's eyes, and he nodded. "Of course. I'll bring Chi-Chi along."
"Let's go, Trunks. This isn't the future; you can relax a bit. I'll take you to train first thing tomorrow morning. I guarantee you'll be able to crush those Androids with ease."
Trunks smiled and gave a grateful nod. "Thank you, Mr. Turles."
With that, the group flew toward Bulma's massive villa in West City.
Why was it called Bulma's villa? Well, because Turles was technically the matrilocal son-in-law...
As the party began, the sight of the lavish dinner made Trunks's mouth water. When had he ever seen such a feast? Seeing Turles, Goku, and Gohan transform into competitive eaters, Trunks joined the ranks of the "Saiyan appetite" brigade.
Bulma watched the father-son duo of Goku and Gohan scarfing down food and shook her head. She turned to Chi-Chi and said, "It must be so hard for you to feed these two bottomless pits..."
Chi-Chi's expression stiffened for a moment, but she managed a smile. "It's not so bad. I love my husband and my son. Even though Goku is a bit naive, that's exactly what attracted me to him, isn't it?"
Overhearing the two women, Turles turned to Goku. "Goku, I remember there being quite a lot of treasure in the ocean, right? You must have run into some when you were a kid."
"I've heard stories about your days adventuring with Bulma to find the Dragon Balls."
"Treasure? You mean those shiny gold things?" Goku asked.
"Yeah, I definitely saw a lot of that..."
"What?!" Chi-Chi suddenly teleported to Goku's side. "Goku, you mean you know where there's a lot of treasure?"
"Well, yeah, but wouldn't it be wrong to just take it?"
Looking at the conflicted Goku, Turles felt a wave of frustration at how "un-materialistic" the guy was.
"Hey, Goku, that treasure is ownerless. Besides, don't you think you should help out with the household expenses? Look at how tired Chi-Chi looks."
Goku blinked, noticing the slight exhaustion in Chi-Chi's face.
"Listen, once you find it, bring it to me. I'll handle everything!" Bulma cut in with a wave of her hand. Her family's company was massive; they already dealt in gold, silver, and precious jewelry.
Doing it this way allowed her to help Goku's family openly while preserving their pride and easing the pressure on Chi-Chi.
"In fact, we can start a jewelry company together. Your family can be shareholders, and you can just collect the dividends at the end of the year."
Chi-Chi looked hesitant. "Is that... really okay?"
"It's perfectly fine! It's settled!"
And so, a global jewelry chain was born. While Bulma's family could easily have supported Goku's family on their own, doing so would have changed the dynamic of their friendship. Now, with a legitimate business reason, helping them out was simple.
Did she care about the money? Please. She wasn't interested in money; she didn't even touch the stuff...
That night, as Bulma lay in Turles's arms, she couldn't help but feel emotional. It was hard to believe her future self would have married someone like Vegeta.
Thinking about the future she had heard about, Bulma murmured, "My future self must have been so pitiful... losing all her friends and family like that..."
She hugged Turles tightly. The future sounded terrifying. she couldn't imagine what would happen to her if she ever lost Turles.
"Hubby, you have to train Trunks well. Make sure he can protect his world."
"Of course. Don't worry, Bulma. But since it's late... shouldn't we do something meaningful?"
Bulma gave him a flirtatious roll of her eyes. "Then what are you waiting for?"
The two spent a passionate and sweet night together...
The next morning.
Turles led Trunks toward the Lookout early in the day.
Kami and Mr. Popo were already waiting. As Turles and Trunks stepped onto the Sanctuary, the two approached them.
"This is the first time we've met in person, Turles," Kami said.
"Yeah, it is. But for the sake of this kid, we need to use your Hyperbolic Time Chamber."
Kami nodded. "I understand. Also, thank you for protecting the Earth. Popo, take them to the chamber."
Mr. Popo stepped forward. "Please follow me."
As he led the way, he explained the rules of the room. "Remember, a person can only spend a total of 48 hours in their lifetime training inside. If you exceed the time limit, you will never be able to come out."
Both nodded. Turles thought to himself: Never come out? As if. "Not being able to get out" was simply a matter of not being strong enough. During the Majin Buu Saga, Super Buu and Gotenks tore through the dimensional barrier with sheer power.
With his full power at Super Saiyan 2, Turles was confident he could shatter the barrier if needed. After all, his base power was already far beyond Goku's base during the Buu Saga.
However, Turles had no intention of staying in that void-like world for too long. He was afraid he'd go crazy from the isolation.
One year would be enough. He also wanted to see if it was possible to achieve Super Saiyan 4 in this environment.
When the door opened, they saw a small living area—bedrooms, a dining hall, a kitchen, and a bath. Beyond that was a vast, white world of nothingness.
The most striking part was the thin air, the 10x gravity, and the blistering temperature of over 40 degrees Celsius.
"Hah... hah..."
Seeing Trunks struggling to adjust to the harsh environment, Turles shook his head.
"Alright, focus on your breathing first. Adjust to the environment. Later, I'll teach you how to fight. And one more thing—do not transform into a Super Saiyan. Your foundation is currently too low. Remember, the Super Saiyan multiplier scales with your base power. It's not that the form isn't strong, but the stronger your base is, the more powerful the transformation becomes. For now, Super Saiyan is just the floor."
