Tempest was absolutely drained.
Trying to pretend as if she had no feelings for Dron was much harder than what she thought it would be. It wasn't just her ignoring him. It was also pretending that she didn't realize how hard he was trying. How intensely he was trying to make it so that she was comfortable.
He didn't deserve what she was doing but she didn't know any other way.
"What do you mean you're hurting? What's happened?" Mexyn questioned on the phone.
"I mean I've been going through my heat-"
Mexyn cut her off before she could finish her sentence. "He didn't force you did he? I swear I'll have Dron thrown into the black cells if he made you do anything that you didn't want to do."
"No, no, it's nothing like that. He's been absolutely perfect. Seriously. I couldn't ask for a better alpha to go through this process with."
"Then I don't understand. Why are you hurting?"
