"Stop," Nyssa commanded, her voice cutting through the tension.
Rolf froze. The werewolf was sweating, his ears twitching nervously as he glared at the impenetrable dome of pink light.
"She's trapped in there, or worse, she's lobotomized herself. I can feel the mana pressure building up. I need to smash this thing open and get her out."
"Your axe won't help her," Nyssa said, her eyes scanning the intricate mana threads weaving the barrier.
"She didn't seal us out. She created a self-contained mana cocoon. If you shatter this, the backblast will evaporate her."
Kaelith leaned lazily against the console, a faint smirk playing on her lips. She didn't look worried.
"Let the beast hunt, Rolf. Grik has survived worse than a hungry Queen. Sit down. You're making my head hurt."
