I sat at the head of the newly replaced obsidian table, my massive green frame filling the heavy iron throne.
Prime Minister Hardsteel and Chief Inquisitor Silas stood on either side of me, watching as I finalized the most controversial document in the history of the Monster Continent.
I signed my name, stamping the bottom of the scroll with the burning crimson seal of the Sovereign.
"It is done," I rumbled, tossing the quill aside.
Silas picked up the heavy parchment, his sharp eyes scanning the runic text.
"The Sovereign's Labor Mandate. Full and equal rights for the human minority. Standardized wages in the Mana Steel factories, protected housing in the lower wards, and absolute protection under the Vanguard."
The Chief Inquisitor blew a ring of cigar smoke, a dark, calculating smile spreading across his face.
