Ray unfolded his legs from the lotus position and got up out of his bed
'That's enough cultivating...'
He stretched out his body, the same as he had always done even before coming to the Gu world, even though now he had the sovereign body which was not prone to mundane things such as stiff joints
It was a force of habit
He smiled as he heard the sounds of rain drops hitting the ground
The sound was extremely loud and vivid playing in his mind, if a regular mortal heard this sound their ear drums would burst as their mind couldn't comprehend it
But due to, once more, the sovereign body - he could comprehend and hear it as if normal.
'I wonder how long the rain would last for?' He thought, it was a rhetorical question but Raphael responded as if it were a regular one

During this time Fang Yuan was helpless in his plight to locate the liquor worm and had begun refining the moonlight gu as a contingency
Ray did not need to do that, he had already refined the moonlight gu as well as the liquor worm, but not only those but their copies as well.
The real matter at hand for Ray was the gu worms he had in his possession.
His plan was to give them all to Fang Yuan and that had not changed, after all he had no use for them
But he could not just walk up to him and hand him 5 rank 1 gu worms, if he did so he would need to think of a reason since - right now, he was not supposed to know, or have any feelings towards Fang Yuan
What did that mean?
It meant that until he could he would need to take care of the gu, he would need to feed them to ensure their survival
He had immediately removed the rank 1 gu from his immortal aperture once he made it into his room
The time rate in the sovereign immortal aperture was 1:60
While in the real world they were only in the aperture for less than 2 hours, the time that passed for them in the aperture was 5 days
The liquor worms were near the brink of death due to starvation and the two of them had devoured the wine he bought which made him glad he kept them in his room.
The White Boar Gu was in a much less critical condition but had also eaten the boar meat he had, he had not bought a large amount due to the fact that it might spoil.
Jade skin gu ate the jade he got from the monkey eyes
Stealth rock gu just ate earth so there was more than enough land and soil for it to eat within the aperture and out
and the earth communication ear grass did not need food.
The silver lining he had was that any resources he produced for their feeding doubled with divine copy gu
He sighed and moved towards the door.
As he opened it he was greeted by two people, a man and a women
They both were the servants he was given by the Chi and Mo clans.
They both bowed and greeted him with the same type of speech and respect
"Good morning young master," They said "The clan head left these with us as we informed him you were cultivating."
Ray looked at them and then at the two large bags in front of his door
'Primeval stones...' He smiled
Ray looked up at them with a smile as if teasing
"You two didn't take anything did you?" He said with a sarcastic tone which he immediately regretted
"Of course not!"
"We wouldn't dare!"
They both bowed their heads at a near 90 degree angle
Ray looked worried and quickly corrected himself
"I was just joking don't worry" He said
They straightened slowly, the man had sweat on his brow and the girl had tears in her eyes
'...I forgot...' He said
Mortals in the eyes of gu masters was near nothing, so these two, people who were mortals despite having gu master parents must have been seen as even less
Ray looked at them again and smiled softly.
He dug his hand into the bag and pulled out a few primeval stones
"Buy me 4 jars of primeval stones and 2 servings of boar meat."
He said handing them 16 primeval stones
The girl took the stones and counted, then she took 4 and handed it back to him
"The cost is 12 primeval stones young master." She said
Ray smiled
"Two for each of you." He said
He picked up the two bags of stones and entered the room leaving them both there
They probably thought he was being generous but he had already made copies of those stones and in fact, he wanted them to leave for a little bit
While he set up a formation.
One of the things that Ray had included in his wishes was the attainment of a great grandmaster in formation path.
That had not been done foolishly or for no reason it was because formation path was incredibly versatile when supplemented by the attainments he had in the rest of the paths.
He was very close to being a being of similar caliber to spectral soul demon venerable, in terms of attainment at least
Spectral soul was a supreme grandmaster in soul path while Ray was a supreme grandmaster in refinement
The venerable was a great grandmaster at minimum in every other path excluding paths that would appear in the future while Ray was a master in all paths, including future paths as well as a great grandmaster in 4

Being a great grandmaster allowed the individual to make use of the natural dao marks of the world
He sat down on the ground started to focus, and a small while later he started to move them
The natural formation path dao marks of the world were being manipulated by him forming a crude formation around him.
It was not large or particularly powerful but it accomplished a goal he needed to deal with
Primeval energy was the energy of the world and that energy would slowly flow into a gu masters aperture being transformed into primeval essence but that process was slow and took large amounts of time.
Right now Ray could recover 8% of his primeval essence within 1 hour
That was good, amazing in fact
But that meant that he would need to wait 12 hours to reach full recovery, well a small fraction under 12 hours since he did not have a 96% primeval sea but a 95%
Not that that even mattered
The formation would simultaneously gather decent amounts of primeval energy into his mortal aperture - enough to allow a steady stream of energy to enter and be converted into essence but not enough for it to concentrate and create a spirit spring.
He had insane amounts of primeval stones for a rank 1 gu master, more than enough.
But
He wanted more
Unlike himself, Fang Yuan could not use this formation for obvious reasons, including the fact that this was the clan heads room
Ray could not exactly bring a friend home
So he would give Fang Yuan a decent amount of of the primeval stones to make use of while also keeping quite a few of them for his own personal use.
'Now... how do I forge an actual relationship with him...'
He thought softly
He moved and sat on the window sill again as he did his first day here.
That was 8 days ago now
He smiled
Once they returned with his gu food, he would set them in his wardrobe along with the gu themselves
For the next 3 days while the rain would pour he was planning to cultivate
'How close can I get to middle stage?' He thought
The initial amount of days was 25, and that was with cultivating 8 daily hours
7 days had already passed since he awakened his aperture and began cultivating
That meant there was 14 days till he reached middle stage
But if he used this remaining 64 hours before the rain stopped he would eliminate another 8 days from that
'One step at a time.'
