Chapter 1 - Another Night at the Corner Store

The fluorescent lights of the convenience store flickered faintly, casting a dull glow over the aisles. Darren yawned, rubbing the back of his neck as he glanced at the clock.

"Alright, Alex. Time's up," he said, dragging the last empty soda box toward the trash. "We need to close, but first… trash duty."

Alex groaned, following him out the back. "Man, why does the glamorous life of a convenience store worker always end with trash?"

Darren smirked. "Because life loves irony, my friend. It's part of the charm."

They carried the bag out to the dumpster, tossed it in, and Darren wiped his hands. "There. Done. Can you smell freedom?"

Alex laughed, shaking his head. "Freedom smells like garbage if you ask me."

On the walk home, Alex fell into step beside him. "So… plans tonight?" he asked casually. "I'm hitting karaoke with a couple of girls. You in?"

Darren shook his head. "Nah. Got stuff to do. Busy."

Alex raised an eyebrow but didn't push. "Of course. You always are. Sometimes I wonder what kind of life you're living behind this store, man."

Darren chuckled, a low, teasing sound. "Ha! Still better off than what you do every day, buddy. Don't feel bad."

They reached the corner where Alex would turn home. "Alright, then. See you tomorrow, Mr. Mysterious. Don't forget to eat or something."

"Yeah, yeah. You too," Darren replied with a grin.

Alex waved, disappearing down the street. Darren exhaled and started walking the rest of the way home.

And that's when he noticed them.

Two young couples, wrapped up in each other, leaning against streetlights and shop walls, lips meeting, hands wandering.

Darren slowed, eyebrow twitching.

He felt the familiar, uncomfortable… yearning.

"…Huh," he muttered under his breath.

"…Nope. Not that. Not girls my age. Too predictable. Too boring."

He shook his head with a small grin. "I want… older. Gorgeous. Mature. A freaking MILF. Amazing and big boobs that I could actually bury my face in them you know. That kind of trouble thats what I want, the kind of chaos you can't get from teenagers giggling over emojis."

He smirked to himself, almost embarrassed but not really. "That has been the entire purpose of my life and I won't stop at nothing until I bend a MILF over and fuck her till she drops"

Darren's thoughts were wandering—milfs, boobs, chaos, fun—when the world decided to get even more chaotic.

One second he was thinking about what kind of fire he wanted in life, the next…

"Whoa, wait!"

Too late.

He'd crossed the street. Without looking. Left. Right. None of it.

Boom.

The slow-moving car hit him, tossing him like a ragdoll.

Pain? Not much. Panic? Definitely. Realization? Oh, plenty.

"No. No, no, no, this can't be it. I can't die… like this. I haven't even touched the fun stuff yet. Not even one MILF!"

And just like that… the world went black.

When Darren opened his eyes again, everything was… white.

White walls? White floor? White sky?

No. Everything. Just white. Endless, blinding, suffocating white.

"Is this...heaven? Damn it, I'm actually dead for real. My MILF dreams never got realised...what a way to go out, Darren"

And then a voice echoed. Smooth, calm, but just loud enough to make his head ache.

"You're dead, yes. But lucky for you, you get a second shot at life."

Darren froze, twisting toward the sound. And then he saw it.

A figure. Sort of. Not really.

White skin, humanoid shape, no face. No hair. No clothes. Nothing… human, and yet human shaped enough to make him tilt his head.

"With that figure i believe you must be a deity. What do you mean a second shot at life?" Darren asked, cautious, skeptical, and a little scared, but mostly curious.

The figure laughed. Not cruelly. Not exactly friendly either.

Just… amused.

"Exactly as it sounds Darren, before you died I summoned your soul here and you will be transmigrated to a different world...one of magic. On one condition though"

Darren blinked. "A condition? What is it"

The figure floated slightly closer. "I want you to fuck as much MILFs as you can in this new world"

Darren folded his arms.

'What kind of a condition is that, you give me a second chance at life and the condition is that I do all I ever wanted to do, I'd be a fool not to take this'

"I don't know what you are but, I accept your offer"

The being chuckled. "I knew you wouldn't refuse. All right, I'll be sending you off to your new life"

Darren coming back from a deep thought. "Wait, is that all? Won't I be getting a system, skills you know."

"Okay fine, I already prepared a system for you and for the skills, you'll get 5 skills I'll choose them from what you want subconsciously, I don't have much time here to wait for you to choose. When you awake you'll know them. Goodbye, Darren"

Darren groaned. "What do you mean subco-"

Before Darren could finish his line, the deity snapped it's fingers and Darren awoke in his new world.

Got you. I'll turn this into a clean, smooth webnovel continuation, keeping the pacing natural, the system clear, and Darren's thoughts funny and sharp.

Darren's eyes fluttered open.

Blue sky.

That was the first thing he saw—clear, wide, and completely unfamiliar. Leaves swayed gently above him, sunlight slipping through the branches in scattered rays.

"Huh."

For a moment, he just lay there, staring.

Then reality hit.

"Oh, right. I died."

The car. The impact. The very unfair timing of it all.

"And now I'm here."

He pushed himself up...

"tch!"

A sharp pain stabbed into the side of his abdomen, forcing him to freeze mid-motion. His hand instinctively moved to his side, fingers pressing lightly against the spot.

"Okay. That's new."

The pain wasn't unbearable, but it was enough to keep him from moving freely.

And then,

Memories rushed in.

Not his.

Fragments. Images. Names. Places.

The white space. The faceless being. The deal.

Reincarnation.

New world.

Magic.

System.

"Ah."

Darren exhaled slowly, lying back down again as everything settled into place.

"I guess… I really am in a new world."

He stared up at the sky, unimpressed.

"…Would've been nice if they didn't spawn me in with damage, though. What is this? Hard mode from the start?"

After a brief pause, his eyes sharpened slightly.

"Right. System."

A grin tugged at his lips.

"Activate."

---

A translucent screen flickered into existence before him.

---

[System Initialized]

[Welcome, Host: Darren]

---

Darren's grin widened.

"Ohhh, this is already better than my last life."

More panels appeared, clean and structured.

---

[Skills Selected: 5/5]

---

And just like that—

He remembered.

"…Right. The skills."

His expression shifted, excitement bubbling up as the choices he had made in that white void came rushing back to him.

"I picked five of them…"

His eyes scanned the list quickly before settling on one.

"…Healing."

---

[Passive Skill: Regeneration Lv.1]

Effect: Restores 1% of total health per minute

Status: Active

Time Active: 60 minutes

---

Darren blinked.

"Wait. The skill is already active, impressive"

He did the math.

"Sixty minutes… one percent per minute…"

A pause.

"That's sixtypercent."

His brows furrowed.

"Which means I arrived here way worse than this."

He let out a slow breath, staring at the sky again.

"So I've been lying here… injured… for at least an hour?"

A small grin formed.

"Nice. Almost died again in the first hour of my new life. Record speed."

He shifted slightly—then immediately regretted it as the pain flared again.

"Yeah, nope. Not moving anytime soon."

His eyes drifted back to the system screen.

"Forty more minutes, give or take."

He clicked his tongue softly.

"Guess I'll just lie here and process everything."

His gaze softened slightly as the foreign memories settled deeper into his mind.

His current body had the same name Darren, same age too but one thing was different, the only thing that Darren wanted to be different even...

"…Step-mom…"

"…Two stepsisters…"

A pause.

Then—

A slow, dangerous grin spread across his face.

"Alright. Now we're talking."

He let his head rest fully against the ground, completely relaxed despite the situation.

"I really hope that 'deity' guy wasn't messing with me…"

His eyes glinted with anticipation.

"…Because if this is real…"

A quiet chuckle escaped him.

"…then this life is about to get very interesting."
