It was three in the morning when Summer Thorne finally left Stillwater.
The roads were unusually clear at night. It would only take her about twenty minutes to drive home.
Naturally, Timothy York didn't want her driving home alone so late at night, but Summer Thorne was insistent, and there was nothing he could do.
However, just as she was halfway there, on a two-way street with almost no other cars, a vehicle cut her off.
Summer Thorne wasn't too surprised. She just stared quietly at the unremarkable black sedan in front of her.
Soon, the driver got out, walked to the back seat, and opened the door for the person inside.
The moment she saw Felix York, Summer Thorne couldn't help but laugh to herself.
Felix York seemed quite relaxed. After getting out, he leaned against the rear of his car and gestured for Summer Thorne to get out of hers.
But Summer Thorne just sat there, unmoving.
Felix York chuckled. "Are you scared of me?"
