"Sigh, that's just like Eve! Whatever she does, she has to be so serious and meticulous. Working for someone else, and she still manages to work herself sick." As soon as Florence Morgan spoke, her rich-wife mentality was clear.
She had never worked, so naturally, she didn't know how much effort a job required. If you didn't work hard, you'd be eaten alive by the competition.
Of course, Florence Morgan also didn't know that the law firm was connected to her younger son.
She didn't know, but Julian Sterling did!
Therefore, he naturally guessed that this was because Evelyn Grant wanted to completely sever ties with Ryan Sterling. That's why she was so fanatically determined to finish her work quickly, just so she could be free of any connection to him as soon as possible.
This was fantastic news for Julian Sterling. He was absolutely thrilled.
"Hasn't she always been like this, ever since we were kids?"
