In the master bedroom upstairs.
"Uncle? Are you okay?"
Kiara Sutton knocked on the door. After waiting a long time with no response, she boldly pushed down the handle and peeked her head inside.
Inside the room, Donovan Donovan was lying on the balcony sofa, sunbathing. Hearing footsteps, he frowned slightly and turned his head to ask what she was doing here.
Kiara Sutton relayed her grandpa's words to him.
"Grandpa thinks you're showing signs of depression, so he sent me, your friendly neighborhood peer counselor, to cheer you up."
Donovan Donovan scoffed. "Go play somewhere else."
His disdain was written all over his face. Kiara hadn't planned on making a big deal out of it, but now her fighting spirit was suddenly ignited.
"Don't write me off, Uncle. This peer counselor thing is actually pretty useful! Let me tell you, my roommate just went through a little romantic setback a few days ago, just like you. She was just as lost."
