With that, the entire hospital room fell into a dead silence.
Ina Sutton was so intimidated by the man before her that she didn't dare say another word. The slap had been incredibly hard, and her face was still numb and throbbing with a burning pain.
"President Monroe, long time no see," Timothy Sutton said, stepping forward to greet him. "It's just kids roughhousing and joking around. Please, don't be angry."
"Roughhousing?" Preston Monroe scoffed. "At her age, your daughter is old enough to be sentenced for a crime."
"You raised your only daughter to be a knife-wielding murder suspect. So, should I make a little 'joke' with you? How about I say the Sutton family is about to have its line end, your company is going bankrupt, and you and your wife are about to be out on the street!"
Timothy Sutton's expression instantly turned grim.
