A chill crept over the old matriarch.
This was her own home, after all. The dinner was supposed to be for reconciliation, so it had never occurred to her that someone might be recording them, or that the conversation would be transmitted elsewhere by some other means.
She had let her guard down,
and someone had exploited it.
In her rage, she had been careless with her words and let quite a bit of information slip.
Timothy Sutton laughed manically. "You plotted against me, so I'll let you have a taste of what it's like to be deserted by everyone. Don't you dote on this granddaughter of yours the most? So much so that you were willing to sacrifice my daughter just to vent her anger?"
"But if you dote on her so much, why did you hire people to spread vicious rumors about her? To make her infamous throughout Graymoor?"
