Kian Jacobs hadn't gone to the office that day. He was handling some business from home when, in the afternoon, a certain someone stormed into his house, insisting they needed to talk.
But as it turned out…
The entire conversation was about his wife!
"We were clearly getting along so well before. We were in sync on every level. Why? This is so sudden. I don't even know how I offended her, and now she's even saying she wants us to sleep in separate rooms?"
"What kind of respectable couple sleeps in separate rooms?"
Kian Jacobs was the picture of indifference. "Sorry. Never been married. Wouldn't know."
"Kian, I just don't get her."
'It's your own wife. You don't even know what she's thinking, and you're coming to me for answers?'
'What is wrong with you!'
"The thing is, she even said Silas Thorne is a good man. What's that about? She hasn't fallen for Thorne, has she? What do you think? Should I get a haircut and change my style to be more like him?"
