As she sat in the car on the way home, scenes from the hospital replayed in her mind.
'It wasn't that I didn't want to help my best friend,' she thought. 'It was that the situation had truly become impossible to solve.'
Jason Forrester also remained silent. There was truly nothing more to say about the current situation.
After all the solemn exchanges, it was better to focus on figuring out how to solve the problem at hand.
"Don't overthink this," Jason said. "No matter what, this has nothing to do with you. The fault is all mine."
"I wasn't thorough enough in my thinking, and that's why you've been dragged into this. Otherwise, you wouldn't be so hesitant, conflicted, and torn."
Jason felt that this wasn't a problem that could be solved with just a few words. Moreover, resolving the current situation wasn't something that could be accomplished easily.
