Megan Kane had no idea how long her best friend had been crying, but she never went out to disturb her, leaving her to be alone.
Blair White walked in looking completely devastated. She sat on the sofa without a word, as if she had nothing more to say, but then she began muttering to herself.
"We actually met in the summer six years ago."
"I didn't know what he wanted from me back then. I think his car had broken down and he asked me to watch it while he went to find a mechanic."
"That was the first time we met. After that, we somehow got to know each other. He'd pop up out of nowhere to find me from time to time."
