Demons and monsters. Demons are one thing, monsters another.
Demons are animals, or even plants, that have been corrupted by the world's baleful energy.
Monsters, on the other hand, are humans tainted by that same energy—usually living ones.
A creature like a Corpse Demon, however, is generally classified as a demon.
The creatures in Daxing Mountain are mostly demons.
Monsters, however, tend to appear where people gather, such as in villages and cities.
After an animal or plant is corrupted by the world's baleful energy, it undergoes a complete transformation, much like a human cultivating the Martial Dao.
This makes demons far stronger than ordinary beasts of prey.
Once they reach a certain stage of growth, they become Tier One Demons, with power comparable to a Martial Artist of the Blood Transformation Realm.
Even an unranked demon is on par with a Body Tempering Realm Martial Artist. An ordinary person would have virtually no chance of survival against one.
