"Hey, what are you doing?" To keep from falling, she threw one arm around his neck and grabbed his shirt with the other, her voice laced with a touch of anxiety as she yelped.
"To get to know each other better!" he answered with a smile before calling toward the kitchen, "Missie Frances, please bring a pot of herbal tea to the study."
"Right away," Missie Frances called back.
Stella Lockwood finally breathed a sigh of relief. 'So I just got the wrong idea.'
"Oh? Why are you blushing?"
As Sean Quinn walked upstairs, he stared at her charming face. The deep blush made her look exceptionally tempting. 'Sigh, this girl... is she trying to test my self-control on purpose?'
"Hey, were you just getting the wrong idea?" A desire to tease her arose, and he leaned in to whisper by her ear.
The warm breath on her skin made Stella Lockwood flinch. She looked up and saw the mischievous smirk he was trying to hide. 'Hmph, that rascal! He's doing this on purpose!'
