Sylvia Crowley froze, looking at Nina Crawford in disbelief. "How is that possible? Nina, didn't you say the Crawford family dispatched the Chaoya cruise ship specifically to throw you a birthday party?"
Suddenly, a realization hit her, and her expression changed drastically. No wonder she, as Nina's best friend, was assigned a room tucked away in the furthest corner. It turned out the Crawford family was hosting an auction, and this had absolutely nothing to do with Nina's birthday.
Nina turned pale, her hands clenched tightly behind her back. Tears welled up in her eyes, and she was on the verge of crying.
Ignoring them, Ryan Crawford shifted his gaze to Iris Dalton. His eyes softened. "I've already spoken to the head chef to prepare a midnight birthday meal."
