Several officials were having a dinner party.
Among them were Li Qing, director of the Jin Province Human Resources Bureau; Huang Yangming, the newly promoted deputy chief of the Fan City Police Department; and Ding Han, deputy director of the Bureau of Construction.
As officials in Jin Province, they often attended various networking events, so they were all quite familiar with one another.
This was especially true for Ding Han and Li Qing, who had been university classmates. Ding Han's wife had been their classmate too, so they were very close.
"Ding Han, how has Liu Xia been lately? Is she still at the city library?"
Li Qing was quite concerned about his old classmate, so he asked.
At the mention of his wife, Liu Xia, Ding Han was momentarily at a loss for words. He hadn't wanted to bring it up, but this was Li Qing, and they were all classmates.
