"What exactly is this Jade Pearl for?" Julian asked, his brow furrowed in confusion as he looked at the pearl in Seraphina Ashworth's hand.
He had sent Leo and Asher to investigate the pearl's origins before, but they had found nothing. It was truly bizarre.
"I'll explain in detail later. I haven't figured it all out myself yet." Seraphina Ashworth put the Jade Pearl away. 'Now isn't the right time to talk about the Ink Lotus Treasure Box, lest I bring danger to innocent people.'
Seeing that Seraphina Ashworth had no intention of elaborating, Julian didn't press the issue. "Well, in that case, I can come find you when I go to Aethelburg, right? You'll have to give me a proper tour then."
"Mhm." Seraphina Ashworth's lips curved into a smile. It was the first time in a long while that Julian had seen her give him such a genuine smile, and it was so beautiful he couldn't look away.
