Though their original identities varied—nobles, commoners, Warriors, scholars—after undergoing their "ascension," they were all left with a single, common name: vampire.
"Blood Race" was the name they used to style themselves, a name carrying an air of nobility and solitude.
But among those who feared and detested them, more derogatory terms circulated: "vampire" or "Corpse Ghost."
Ever since the mysterious Mage named Salazar secretly took over the ancient castle, gradually becoming the de facto ruler of the Dark Land, the old-guard nobles of the Blood Race who clung to tradition had taken their pride and were "buried" along with it in the deathly silent cemetery outside the castle.
They escaped into a long slumber, fleeing a new era they could neither understand nor control.
The old castle was no longer as lively as it once was.
