The Filth Demon Aias lowered his blood-red eyes, his gaze sweeping dispassionately over Hammerbone's bowed head.
With a flicker of movement, he leaped from the back of a giant of the Filth Race. His hooves, covered in an obsidian-like shell, landed on the rubble-strewn ground with a dull thud.
He strode directly toward the fortress. Without looking back, he commanded in a hoarse voice:
"Have your legion commander come out and see me."
Hammerbone's stout body trembled slightly. He braced himself and said, "Lord Aias, the legion commander is undergoing a trial. You can ask me if you need anything."
Aias stopped walking. He turned, his gaze fixing on Hammerbone as he said with amusement, "Excellent. Then, from this moment forward, I am the legion commander. Do any of you have a problem with that?"
"Er..."
Hammerbone's throat went dry, and for a moment, he was at a loss for words. His hand subconsciously tightened around his spiked mace as he hesitated.
