Ithilien ignored Anvil's explanation. She kept staring at little Erin, her expression pensive, before she finally shook her head gently. "There's no need. She won't come with me."
"Why?" Anvil asked, taken aback.
"Perhaps she's afraid of Elves," Chen Yu said.
Ithilien nodded. "I don't know how she got here, but if I'm not mistaken, this little one has probably come into contact with the Elves from the Ancient Tree Council. Her parents likely had some unpleasant conflicts with those rigid Elves."
Halfway through her sentence, she suddenly used the Gel to convey her thoughts telepathically.
'This little one seems to have lost her memories. It's very likely she was cursed by the Council... She doesn't have more than a few years to live.'
'Let her live out the rest of her days in peace. At least let her be happy. There's no need to send her to me anymore.'
Anvil was stunned into silence upon hearing this.
