Evening was drawing near.
Night fell over every city in the New District.
In Shanyang City, the night lights were brilliant.
It was as if this place had never been touched by the shadow of beasts or the men in black.
The young men and women still took advantage of the night's arrival.
They walked the streets in groups of three and five.
Some were heading straight for bars and nightclubs, while others strolled down the street, talking and laughing.
Cars formed long, flowing lines,
Weaving through the city.
It was as if nothing bad had ever happened here.
Meng Die sat in a car, looking at a KTV not far away.
Luxury cars, each worth over a million, were all parked there.
Many people were walking into the KTV.
Wei Shang, sitting beside her, stared at the scene for a while.
"Sister Die, why do you think those Blood Handprint people haven't wrecked Shanyang City?
Looking at the people here, it's like they've never faced a crisis!"
