Damian Fairchild remained silent, his elegant eyes terribly bloodshot.
Seraphina Quinn took a deep breath. After composing herself for a moment, she looked up at him.
"So, I've told you the truth about our breakup. You must be so proud, right? Thinking that stupid woman, Seraphina Quinn, didn't leave a poor kid like you because she didn't love you, but because she was afraid her own grandfather would hurt her? That she only broke up with you because she had no other choice?"
"And do you feel even better thinking that after five years, showing up like a god before that same stupid woman at her absolute lowest, she would just throw herself back into your arms? That she would see you as her final salvation?"
