A question surfaced from deep within her.
'Who is she?'
'Who is this young woman in the maroon coat?'
'Why would Damian treat her so differently? Why would he let her hold him so intimately?'
Before Seraphina could dwell on it, she saw a group of people led by Seth Thorne appear, wheeling a patient in a hospital gown.
Because of the distance, Seraphina couldn't clearly see the patient in the hospital gown and oxygen mask.
But judging by Damian's reaction when the patient appeared, she could tell this must be his mother.
Less than five minutes passed from the moment the patient was wheeled out to when Damian and the entire medical team hurried toward the boarding gate.
Seraphina guessed that Damian had been waiting at the airport to personally escort his mother for treatment... somewhere else.
And that was indeed the case.
The very next day, Seraphina's suspicion was confirmed through other channels.
