Seraphina Quinn's fingers curled.
Her mind was in utter chaos, a buzzing roar that gave her a splitting headache.
She was incredibly torn.
Taking in her reaction, Cian leaned back in his chair, pulled out a cigar, and clamped it between his teeth.
He took out a lighter and quickly lit it.
He was a heavy smoker. He took a deep drag and exhaled, releasing a thick cloud of bluish smoke.
Through the swirling smoke, his handsome face was shrouded in a haze, making him look inscrutable and impossible to read.
The fingers of his left hand drummed against the tabletop, his gaze locked on Seraphina Quinn.
"Don't have the courage to take the call? Then how about I take it for you?" He paused before adding pointedly, "I'll just tell him you're my woman now. That you're with me."
As he spoke, Cian reached for Seraphina Quinn's phone.
Seeing this, Seraphina Quinn snatched the phone away before he could.
She stood, intending to take the call outside.
