Seraphina Quinn's anger flared up again.
She spun around, glaring furiously at Cian.
Cian looked at her, his smile growing more unrestrained. "Staring at me like that? You must really hate me!"
Seraphina finally lost her composure and slapped Cian across the face again.
This time, Cian didn't dodge.
The force of the blow snapped his head to one side.
He poked the inside of his cheek with his tongue, a smirk playing on his lips as he looked at her and said,
"Because I told him that if he didn't break up with you, I'd go after his sister, Jasmine Fairchild. After being rejected by Elias Sommers time and time again, Jasmine had completely given up on him."
He paused, then raised a hand to touch his cheek and said shamelessly,
"Maybe it's because I'm not so bad-looking—the type all you girls seem to love. So, she's completely obsessed with me now. And that's why Sean Fairchild chose to protect his sister over you and broke up with you."
