Maybe it was guilt, or maybe it was the sheer shock of running into Damian Fairchild at the airport, but Seraphina Quinn's mind went completely blank.
Her head was buzzing as if it might explode, and she lost all ability to think.
She opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but she didn't know where to begin.
Damian Fairchild took in her reaction, and the smile on his face turned utterly contemptuous.
"What's wrong? Can't even come up with an excuse? For someone who's acted and followed scripts before, your performance is pathetic. Guilt is written all over your face. So, who exactly are you going to see?"
Damian's tone was peculiar and sharp, every word dripping with sarcasm.
But even so, Seraphina had no intention of explaining anything to him.
There was no explaining it to him.
Besides, even if she could make him understand, Damian wouldn't necessarily react rationally.
