If not for the IV needle in the back of Cian's hand, Seraphina Quinn would have thrown water in his face.
As angry and annoyed as she was, Cian had undeniably done a great deal for her.
So, instead of taking the bait, she asked, "What did the doctor say? How much longer until you make a full recovery?"
Cian hadn't expected to convince her to stay and have his child with just a few words.
So, when Seraphina Quinn dodged the topic, he didn't press the issue either.
He gazed at Seraphina Quinn's small, rosy face. "You're looking well."
Seraphina Quinn frowned.
Cian continued, "This injury... it'll take at least a month to heal properly."
Seraphina Quinn nodded, then said,
"I owe you a great deal. More than I could ever repay. So, I'll stay and take care of you until you're fully recovered."
Cian's eyes, dark and deep, fixed on her as he raised an eyebrow. "But?"
Seraphina Quinn met his gaze. "There is. I want to see my brother."
Cian: "And then? After you see him?"
